Welcome inside

Imagine a summer morning. You wake up and step into the bright living room, where the first rays of the sun gently kiss the space. You start brewing coffee in the open and inviting kitchen, waiting for the family to wake up. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare delicious holiday meals. Maybe you’re planning to make pancakes for breakfast, or perhaps you’ll enjoy a grilled dinner in the evening – everything made easy and convenient. The crackling wood stove in the living room adds to the coziness when evening falls, filling the room with laughter and conversation. After a long day of adventures, you can relax in the lovely bathroom, take a warm shower, and enjoy the luxury of time and heated floors. When it’s time to rest, you have a choice of three beautiful bedrooms. Perhaps you’ll curl up in the large double bed, or maybe you’ll share the cozy room with a bunk bed with the kids. Whatever your choice, there is space for peace and relaxation.

Enjoy life outside

The expansive lawn stretches out before you, and all you hear are the birds singing and the wind rustling the leaves of the trees. There’s plenty of room for a game of adult frisbee while the kids bounce on the trampoline or build sandcastles in the fine sandbox. One of the best ways to enjoy your holiday is to relax in the sun, and with several terraces around the house, there are plenty of opportunities to do just that. From morning till evening, you’ll find a spot to sit and simply be. Maybe with a good book in hand, or perhaps with a cold drink while the grill heats up for an unforgettable dinner under the open sky. If you really want to get close to nature, wait until night falls and head for the newly built shelter. Imagine lying there, under the stars, far away from the stresses of everyday life, listening to the sounds of the night and the children’s breathing. Just remember to bring your own sleeping bag or duvet, as the house’s duvets can’t be used here – this is your chance to sleep close to nature.

Get up close to the local attractions

The holiday home is located in the peaceful area of Skovgårde, a small retreat where nature and the holiday spirit are closely connected. Every day brings new adventures, and it’s hard to know where to start. Perhaps you’ll begin the day with a trip to the child-friendly beach, where the sand is soft and the water shallow. The kids can play for hours, building sandcastles or splashing in the shallows. When hunger strikes, you can grab a bench on the beach and enjoy lunch there. Trails and bike paths lead you through forests, fields, and heathlands, all while you take in the fresh air and the beautiful landscape. Northern Europe’s largest amusement park is only a 15-minute drive away, and it’s a massive hit with kids – even the older ones. Along Djursland’s northern coast, there are great opportunities for fishing. And if you’re unlucky and don’t catch anything, there are plenty of places to buy fresh, delicious fish. And speaking of fish, you can discover strange fish, penguins, sharks, and seals at the Kattegatcenter in Grenå. In fact, there are many possibilities for adventure in Djursland.
