There is a cool corner with a sandbox, and when you need to refresh yourself, you can enjoy an outdoor shower under the open sky and in the midst of the forest.

Get Close to Local Ex­pe­ri­en­ces Fjellerup Strand is an old fishing village and today an at­tra­cti­ve holiday area on the lovely north coast of Djursland. Here, there are both bakeries, shops, and re­stau­rants. The beach is very child-friendly with won­der­ful­ly shallow water and mainly a sandy bottom. The nature on and behind the north coast is won­der­ful­ly varied with a multitude of small paths and roads that cris­scross through the landscape, ideal for beautiful walks and bike rides. Children love to find hidden stones in the hollow trees in Troll Forest. Anglers can look forward to excellent con­di­tions, and windsur­fers are magically drawn to Fjellerup. If you are not suc­ces­sful with fishing, you can buy fresh fish at several places. Visit the beautiful Meilgaard Castle, where you can enjoy culinary delights at the castle inn, the hi­sto­ri­cal­ly sig­ni­fi­cant stone caves at Tustrup, and the so-called dolmens. The largest amusement park in Scan­di­navia, Djurs Som­mer­land, is a fifteen-minute drive away, and they tend to come up with a new and wild activity almost every year. A half-hour drive will also take you to popular at­tra­ctions such as the Scan­di­navi­an Wildlife Park, Ree Park Safari, and the exciting Kattegat Center in Grenaa.
