Hegedal Strand is a beautiful beach that stretches into Fjellerup Strand—a place where nature meets the charm of the coast. Fjellerup is a former fishing village that has become a popular holiday desti­na­tion on the North Djursland coast. The child-friendly beach with shallow waters and a sandy bottom is ideal for family holidays. The sur­ro­un­ding nature offers a wealth of trails and small roads, perfect for hiking and cycling. Fishing along the coast is a great activity, and windsur­fers will find excellent con­di­tions here.

If you’re not lucky with your fishing, fresh fish can be purchased locally. For more ad­ven­tu­res, visit the stunning Meilgård Castle and enjoy a meal at the castle inn, or explore the historic stone dolmens at Tustrup.
