Welcome to a newly built holiday home with a unique location in the absolute beach front at Saksild Strand. It is a great pleasure to offer our guests the op­portu­ni­ty to enjoy a wonderful stay with family and friends in this lovely modern and well-planned holiday home.

The house has three good bedrooms + a nice large loft with double bed and sea views, open-plan kitchen/living room, large living room, two beautiful bathrooms, one with sauna. Here is the op­portu­ni­ty for a great ex­pe­ri­en­ce for 8 people.

Centrally located in the house is the large kitchen/family room, where the kitchen contains eve­ryt­hing you need during your stay with modern fa­ci­li­ties for delicious cooking, including dis­hwas­her, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and more. Here you can enjoy the light and the beautiful sea views all day long.

Directly connected to the kitchen is the dining area and cosy sofa group, where you can all gather after a great day at the beach and enjoy board games, puzzles, chatting or perhaps continue looking at the beautiful sea view. In the living room there is a TV with Chro­mecast with the option of streaming your own streaming services via your own tablet. There are also Danish, German, Swedish and Norwegian TV channels.

There is free internet in the house.

There are two beautiful bathrooms in the house, both with toilet and shower. One of the bathrooms also has a beautiful sauna. The utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer so you can wash your beach towels after a long day at the beach.

If you are not spending the day at one of East Jutland's best beaches, there are plenty of op­portu­ni­ties to enjoy the weather and each other around the house on the lovely wooden terrace with garden furniture, sun loungers, parasol etc.

The small fire pit at the house and the sandpit provide many hours of fun and pleasure in the garden. It would be ideal to cook several of the day's meals on the gas barbecue and enjoy them on the partially covered terrace. There are plenty of op­portu­ni­ties to find a spot to relax, read a good book, or maybe just take a holiday nap - all while con­stant­ly watching the sea, beach and life around you.

For the cooler evenings, there is plenty of op­portu­ni­ty to fire up the hot tub and enjoy a bath. There is also an outdoor shower.

Electric car charging is available at the house.

Location
The holiday home is located just 10 metres from East Jutland's best beach. The sandy beach is shallow and very child-friendly.

Within walking distance are Re­stau­rant Bon­de­hu­set, Vaf­fel­hu­set, Trekanten (pizza) and Strands­hop­pen with various groceries and a new mini golf course from summer 2021. Saksild is also home to Denmark's oldest mini golf course, where you can challenge each other and eat tasty ice cream.

If you're looking for an active holiday, you can spend it by the water, on a bike or hiking in the beautiful nature in the area. Tip: Bike and paddle hire at Saksild Strand Camping.

The small, lovely harbour town of Norsminde is not far away, where you can enjoy an ice cream or eat at the renowned Norsminde Kro.

From Hou there is a daily ferry crossing to the islands of Samsø and Tunø. So a day trip to one of these nice islands is an obvious choice.

Only 8 km from the holiday home is Odder, which offers a lovely pe­de­stri­an street with great shopping op­portu­ni­ties, a large selection of shops for groceries and great sights. Visit ‘Denmark's largest Kvickly’ here, which offers many great offers and great ex­pe­ri­en­ces.

The bowling centre ‘Kuglen & Keglen’ in Odder also has many outdoor acti­vi­ties for the whole family, both young and old.

Half an hour's drive away, Aarhus, Denmark's second largest city, can be enjoyed and ex­pe­ri­en­ced. Here you will find “Den Gamle By”, the art museum AROS, Moesgaard Museum, the shopping centre Bruuns Galleri and Tivoli Friheden. The city offers a wide range of cultural ex­pe­ri­en­ces, shopping and many fine dining options.
