The sur­ro­un­dings on Southeast Funen are very beautiful and invite to nice walks. The idyllic small town Svendborg with a maritime touch is the area´s largest town. Here you find various cultural offers, many shops, cafés and re­stau­rants, an indoor swimming-pool and a nice harbor area. From here the many castles and manors that cha­ra­cte­rize South Funen are within reach. Egeskov Castle or Valdemar´s Castle which both are open for visitors from May until October, are ab­so­lu­te­ly worth a visit.
