The area
The coast offers good opportunities for Windsurfing and fishing. Nearby is the small marina in Faldsled, where you can enjoy the maritime atmosphere and the view beyond the water. In Horne you will find one of the seven beautiful round churches in Denmark, which is definitely worth a visit. Nowhere else are castles and manor houses as close as in Funen, as is the case in this area. Hvedholm Castle, Steensgaard Manor House and Egeskov Castle. There is a short distance to the charming old market town of Faaborg; A beautiful city with beautiful old houses, a large selection of shops and a vibrant cultural life with many artists and exciting museums. At Svanninge Bakker is a challenging 18-hole golf course. It is beautifully situated in a hilly terrain with beautiful views of the South Funen archipelago and 'The Funen Alps'.
