Welcome inside:
This newly built (2024) and personally designed holiday home is a family’s year-round residence, which is rented out during the weeks/months when the family is not in Denmark. The house is secluded at the end of a private gravel road, from which a footpath leads directly to the coast of the Great Belt, a bathing jetty, and the beach.

Interior: There is direct access from the large terrace that surrounds the entire house into the spacious dark smoked oak kitchen and living area with high ceilings. At one end, there is a large kitchen island with a 5-burner gas stove, an industrial oven, and a combination microwave oven. There is also a small wine fridge, two fridge-freezer combinations (one of which is usually private), a dishwasher, and many other kitchen appliances.

At the other end of the room, there is a coffee bar where you can brew coffee and tea. The long wooden plank dining table (300 x 120 cm) has chairs for 8 people, but there is space for an additional 4-6 chairs. There is also a high chair for small children.

The living room area is on a raised platform with a view over the Great Belt. Here you will find a large U-shaped sofa, a couple of swivel chairs, and a large TV with Chromecast for your own streaming. There is also a Danish TV package.

At one end of the house, there is a guest area with a separate bathroom with a wall-mounted changing table and two guest bedrooms with double beds. In a small hallway, a ladder can be pulled out to access a loft, which has an additional 2-3 sleeping spaces with a beautiful view. At the other end of the house, there is a master bedroom and a master bathroom, which also includes a bathtub.

It is allowed to bring your dog to the holiday home, but not on sofas, chairs or beds!

Note: In the house, you will find instructions for various appliances and installations.

Enjoy life outside:
The house stands out for its large wooden terrace, which has terrace areas around the entire house. To the east, there is a morning sun terrace with a hexagonal granite table. There is also an outdoor rinse station with a sink for cleaning fish and muddy boots. On the south side, you can use lounge chairs or sunbeds, which can also be moved to the west side in the afternoon, where there is also a large lounge area with space for many people and a large granite table from the Grand Canyon with many dining spaces. Here you can sit until the sun sets or simply turn on the outdoor lighting.

On the southwest side, there is a lawn surrounded by a landscaped sand beach and a small hexagonal bathing terrace with a wilderness hot tub, which will be ready for use in the 2025 season.

As an extra cozy spot, there is a small enclosed Viking settlement at the bottom of the garden, where you can cook on a fire bench and also stay overnight— a couple of people can fit in the small Viking house.

Get up close to the local attractions:
The holiday home is located at Drøsselbjerg Beach. Drøsselbjerg in West Zealand is a cozy holiday home area by the Musholm Bay and the Great Belt. The area is very scenic and a very quiet holiday home area. The beach is 400 meters away, where a bathing jetty is set up during the summer months. There are many good fishing spots along the coast off Drøsselbjerg, where the water is deep. It is 4 km to the nearest shopping at Stillinge Beach, where there is a lovely child-friendly sandy beach as well as several restaurants and an ice cream parlor. About 15 km from Drøsselbjerg, you will find West Zealand's largest commercial town, Slagelse, which has a wide selection of shops, restaurants, and cafés.

Slagelse also hosts one of Denmark's largest barracks, and every Wednesday you can see the Guard Hussars ride through the town. The surrounding area offers many excursion opportunities, including the Viking castle Trelleborg, Kragerup Manor, which has many exciting activities, the Panzermuseum East, which has an impressive collection of military equipment and vehicles from the Cold War, Birkegården's Gardens—a 10,000 m² experience garden with animals and a play park. Gerlev Play Park offers a thousand years of play culture for children and adults, with classic games from around the world, Viking games, combat games, hide-and-seek, and tag games.
