Quiet area close to the good bathing beaches by Sejerø Bay

Lyngen is a common name for the huge holiday house area by Sejerø Bay, and each of the areas are named after the towns in the hin­ter­land, so from south to north: Asnæs Lyng, Jyderup Lyng, Vig Lyng, Hønsinge Lyng, Ellinge Lyng, Højby Lyng, Gud­min­d­rup Lyng and Tengs­le­mark Lyng. Here you find a well developed and typical holiday area with good bathing beaches, nature areas, cosy shops, crazy golf and other acti­vi­ties and not at least a good selection of re­stau­rants and stre­et­food. There are nice walks and bicycle routes by the natural inland lagoon Korev­ler­ne and in the cosy Høve forest. This is a vigorous beech forest, and 150 years old pine trees are growing all the way down to the beach by Sejerø Bay. You may also search for amber on the beach, take a swim or fish for sea trout.

You will feel at ease in this light holiday house with double-height ceiling, creating an extra feeling of room and space. In the living room you can enjoy “hygge” by the wood burner with a view to the garden through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Take out a game, maybe rummy or Canasta or Ludo and spend some hours on family cosiness together. From the dining table you also have a fine view to the garden, and you may spend a nice time here during all the meals of the day. If you or the children are in need of a nap, there is room in the cosy bed recess in a corner of the living room. The house has a good floor plan, making it very roomy.

Enjoy life outside

The big lawn invites to a nice little round of football or badminton or croquet. There is a swing and a sandbox for the children plus room to barbecue. The plot is nicely located close to open fields and in a tranquil holiday house area, where the beach at Høve forest is not far away. The covered terrace extends the cooler summer evenings’ outdoor life and cosy times.

Get close to the local at­tra­ctions

For a family with children we at Fe­ri­e­part­ner Odsherred would recommend a visit to Ulvsborg Historic Workshops in Asnæs. Ulvsborg Historic Workshops is the only event centre in the country, where you may visit Denmark during the times of unrest and upheaval between the Viking Age and the Middle Ages. Here everybody may join in, when there is building, forging, spinning and cooking to be done. The farm and the gardens must be kept and main­tai­ned, and there must be training in sword battles and archery for war times. On the about 24 hectares of beautiful nature with fields, meadows, woods and small ponds, Ulvsborg is a recon­structed en­viron­ment around a fortified magnate estate with belonging workshop buildings, gardens and domestic animals. If you have a rainy or cloudy day, you could drive to the covered shopping centre in Asnæs or visit Odsherred Art Museum.
