Fantastically located holiday home for 4 guests at Maarup Harbour and a lovely beach
House-ID: 20123It is a pleasure to welcome you to this lovely holiday home at Maarup Harbour on northern Samsø. Samsø's best beach is only 60 metres from the house, and you can enjoy life at the harbour from the terrace.
Welcome inside
"Fiskehytten" (The fisherman hut) is located on the harbourfront in Maarup, where there used to be a warehouse. However, everything is completely new built from 2015, and today the house is filled with lots of holiday home cosiness and great facilities for your holiday on Samsø.
You enter a small entrance hall and at the staircase to the two floors of the house. On the first floor is the kitchen and living room, which is the centre of the house. Here you can prepare your holiday meals in the good-sized kitchen which has all the facilities you need. You can enjoy your meals at the dining table or take your morning coffee outside on the terrace, which has a lovely view of Maarup harbour. If the weather doesn't allow you to sit outside, you can also enjoy the view from inside the living room, where a large patio door with windows offers a lovely view of the harbour and Sælvig Bay in the background. The patio doors can even be opened all the way up, so the terrace becomes an extension of the living room. In the cosy sofa corner you can sit down and enjoy the view of the sea, play a game or turn on the TV,
The living room/kitchen area is completely built in light wood, and the maritime details in the interior design create a cosy atmosphere, so you can sense that the house is close to the harbour and the sea. Here you are guaranteed to spend many cosy hours together.
On the ground floor are the two bedrooms and the bathroom. The light-coloured wooden walls and ceilings are continued here, so the style is consistent thourgh the house. One bedroom has a comfortable double bed, a desk and storage space. The bedroom has a view of the harbour, but you'll also find it peaceful and will undoubtedly get a good night's sleep.
The second bedroom has two single beds that can be pushed together to form a double bed to suit your needs. There's also storage space and a window overlooking the small courtyard. Next to the bedrooms is the bright bathroom, where you'll also find a washing column with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
"Fiskehytten" is ideal for those who want a very special location by one of Samsø's cosy harbours and the beautiful nature of the North Island. At the same time, you get a holiday home that is designed in a cosy holiday home style.
Enjoy life outside
The exterior of the house is built with inspiration from the old, black clapboard fishermen's houses. The outdoor areas of "Fiskehytten" are limited, so park your car in the public car parking area just before you drive into Maarup harbour. On the other hand, it is easy to get to the house from the gravel road behind the house where the entrance door is in a small backyard.
Maarup Harbour is a cosy marina, where in the summer there are yachts in the harbour and life around the restaurant, which is located opposite the holiday home. It is also a tranquil harbour, so it is ideal to sit on the terrace and enjoy the sun and the panoramic view of the harbour and the sea.
Get close to local experiences
From Maarup Harbour, you're close to great nature experiences. Behind the holiday home, a path leads directly up to the beautiful hilly landscape, offering fantastic views and a lovely hiking route through nature and fields. You can also take beautiful walks along the beach. If you want to jump into the blue waves, there is a lovely beach just 60 metres from the house. It's a great place to swim, but it gets deep quickly. Just 1.5 kilometres from the holiday home is Maarup, where you can do your grocery shopping and rent a bike.
If you want to go fishing, there are good fishing opportunities both east and west of the holiday home.
There are beautiful places to visit all over the northern part of Samsø. Don't miss out on a trip up Ballebjerg, Samsø's highest point, or Issehoved, where the Kattegat sea meets the northernmost tip of Samsø.
Nordby is also always worth a visit. This well-preserved village has fine village houses, a street pond and an iconic clock tower. In Nordby you can also have a nice lunch or an ice cream.
Head south and you'll find more villages with local shops and cafés, so there's always something to discover. Langør is another cosy harbour town on Samsø with a special location. Here you can enjoy lunch in the summer, but the beautiful landscape by Stavns Fjord is always an experience.
In Tranebjerg and Ballen you'll find several shopping opportunities and restaurants, so whether you're into cultural life or nature experiences, Samsø has a little bit of everything.
