In the living room, there is space for all guests to gather on the comfprtable sofa and play a game or sit by the dining table and enjoy dinner together. The living room has windows facing south-east, and from here you can enjoy views over fields and all the way to the coast, which is just 1.2 kilometres from the house. The living room is the place for gathering in the house. You can spend lots of time together, but at the same time there is room for you to do different things. Throughout the house, daylight streams into the rooms through the windows, so you are guaranteed a stay with light, warmth, and fresh air.
From the living room there is access to the kitchen, which also has access to the entrance hall and the sleeping area of the house. The kitchen is spacious, and when you've bought local produce from the roadside stands, there's plenty of room for you to prepare the dinner together. The kitchen has everything you need for your holiday meals and through the windows you can enjoy the view of the garden. The kitchen is bright and modern, but still retains the cosy country style.
From the kitchen, you move on to the three bedrooms and the bathroom. All bedrooms have double beds and plenty of space to accommodate everyone. With storage space and windows overlooking the garden, you're sure to get a good night's sleep after a day on Samsø.
The last bedroom at the hallway is the largest, and in addition to a double bed, there's also a garden door to the south-facing terrace. Imagine how great it is to step directly outside barefooted in the morning and enjoy the view.
The bathroom is at the center of the bedrooms, so it's easily accessible for everyone. The bathroom is also neat and newly renovated, which completes the experience of a thoroughly lovely and cosy holiday home.
Enjoy outdoor life
Around the house is a garden surrounded by trees and shrubs, so you can enjoy your holiday at Nordby undisturbed. Still, you have a great view of the fields and the sea on the east coast of Samsø. In addition, on the east and south sides of the house there is a tiled terrace, so it's ideal for sitting and enjoying the morning and afternoon sun.
Here you can also light up the barbecue and enjoy the lovely summer evenings.
In a corner of the garden is another gem: Here is a small terrace between the trees, but with a fantastic view over the fields and to the coast. It's perfect to sit here with family or friends and enjoy the afternoon sun.
The house also has a good driveway with easy parking for several cars, so you don't have to worry about practicalities.
At the opposite end of the house lives a permanent tenant, but of course you have your own entrance and full privacy, so you can holiday in this lovely house all to yourself.
Get close to the local experiences
Nordby has been voted one of Europe's best-preserved villages, and with good reason. Here you can strall around the cosy streets, between thatched houses, hollyhocks and of course the pond in the middle of town.
Nordby is also home to the old, beautiful clock tower, where volunteers still ring with the bell every day during the summer. Nordby also has several restaurants with local products, shops and good opportunities for a tasty ice cream.
Nordby is the last town before you reach the beautiful Nordby Hills. Among other things, you should visit Issehoved, the most northern point of Samsø, where the sea of Kattegat meets at its northernmost tip. Ballebjerg is also always worth a visit and offers probably the best sunset views. In the northern part of Samsø you find several scenic hiking routes in the slightly hilly landscape.
If you head south, you'll find more cosy and lively villages on southern Samsø. Tranebjerg is the largest town on Samsø and has good shopping opportunities, several speciality shops and the local museum. It's always a good idea to visit the tourist information centre for more inspiration.
Samsø has many beautiful beaches, one of the best beaches is in Ballen, where there is plenty of life with restaurants, live music, and holiday guests in the summer.
Just 1.2 kilometres from the house, you'll also find a lovely sandy beach at Mårup Østerstrand. You're always close to beautiful nature experiences on Samsø, and from the house at Nordby you can easily take a dip in the clear water.
