This beautiful and well-located house in Vesterløkken, is a holiday home ex­pe­ri­en­ce on Samsø at its best.
The holiday home from 2004 is architect-designed and very well main­tai­ned with a loft to ceiling, wonderful light and sea view. There is room for 6 guests and a lovely outdoor area with a view of the sea to the west, so beautiful sunsets are gu­a­ran­te­ed.

The house has an open kitchen with dining area and large windows facing the garden. It is the gathering room of the house, where you can cook, eat and relax on the sofas. The kitchen is open to the living room with a cooking island in the center, so it's easy to be together while cooking and relaxing with the beautiful view in the ba­ck­gro­und. The kitchen has space for cooking and the fa­ci­li­ties you need when preparing meals in the cottage. There is an oven, microwave, dis­hwas­her and fridge-freezer. From the kitchen, a ladder leads up to the house's small loft, where you can take a rest on the mattress. Next to the kitchen is a dining area for 6 people with a lovely light from the windows next to.

Connected to the kitchen and dining area is the living room, where you can lounge on the good sofa and armchairs. From the living room there is access to the partially covered terrace, where you can enjoy your meals on a summer day. The large windows provide a nice light, so you get the greenery and the good view right into the living room. If you do turn on the TV, there is a large selection of Danish and German TV channels. There is also free WiFi in the house. The house is heated by heat pump, and the beautiful wooden floors throug­hout the house provides a nice and cozy holiday home at­mosp­he­re.

The 3 good bedrooms are di­stri­bu­ted with double beds in two of the rooms and two single beds in the last bedroom. The rooms are bright and with wardrobe space.

In the house there is also a nice bathroom with shower, un­der­floor heating and washing machine. It is bright and fun­ctio­nal and is located next to the bedrooms.


Outdoor
The house is located on a shielded plot with a large lawn, so there is plenty of space and no neighbors close by. The house is located a bit high, so there is a view of the sea at Vesterløkken on Samsø's west coast. There are also bushes and trees around the house, so the garden is peaceful and secluded - unless a hare crosses the lawn. At the entrance of the house there is a small south-east facing terrace, so it is perfect to take your morning coffee outside and enjoy the first rays of sunshine of the day.

The living room also opens onto a larger tiled terrace, which is partially covered. Here you have a view of the sea and great op­portu­ni­ties to take the day's meals out and sit in the garden furniture. There are also sun loungers so the view can be enjoyed outside and com­fortably.

In addition, there is a good shed where you will find parasol, barbecue and cushions for garden furniture.

Location
Vesterløkken is an older quiet summer house area on the west side of Samsø. Here is slow driving on gravel roads, small paths and good space for neighbors. At the end of Rosenvej is a bathing bridge which can be used freely. The stone beach along the coast has sandy bottom a few meters out and here are very good fishing con­di­tions. Benches in the area make it possible to sit and enjoy the sunset.

Just 5 ki­lo­metres from the cottage is Tra­neb­jerg, Samsø's largest town, where you can do your grocery shopping while browsing the fine specialty shops or having a coffee in a cafe. In the middle of Tra­neb­jerg is also the Anton Rosen house, which is today the local tourist in­for­ma­tion.

On the opposite coast, the small harbour town of Ballen has a lively and cosy at­mosp­he­re in summer, with many waterside re­stau­rants and often live music. On Samsø's South Island, it's easy to cycle around to most places.

At the sout­her­n­most point of Samsø, 8 ki­lo­metres from the cottage, is Vesborg Ligh­t­hou­se, which is open to guests during the summer months. From the top of the ligh­t­hou­se there is a fantastic view over southern Samsø and all the way to Jutland, Zealand and Funen in clear weather. Not far from Vesborg Ligh­t­hou­se is Brat­tings­borg Castle, where you can go for lovely walks in the woods, and during the summer holidays it is possible to visit the castle park.

Further north you should not miss a visit to the charming old village of Nordby and a walk in the Nordby Hills. Around Stauns fjord, at Besser Reef and Langør there are also great nature ex­pe­ri­en­ces waiting on your holiday.
