Protected heath areas and lovely plan­ta­tions adorn the landscape, and from the house, it’s only a couple of ki­lo­me­ters to the viewpoint Høstbjerg, where you can gaze out over the entire beauty—not just over Rømø, but also across the Wadden Sea and toward the mainland. If you want to go to the beach, you can follow the path on foot or by bike, which leads you through the open landsca­pes to Lakolk Beach, a wonderful place to swim, windsurf, fly a kite, and build sandcast­les. On the way back, you can stop at Lakolk Shopping Center to shop, browse, or enjoy a good meal at one of the eateries. You’ll find several re­stau­rants and shopping options around Rømø as well as a good selection of holiday acti­vi­ties, including golf, mini-golf, horseback riding, and guided nature excur­sions.
