From the small side road, it’s just a short stroll before you reach Rømø’s east coast and gaze out over the Wadden Sea. The Wadden Sea lends its name to the local national park, which is Denmark's largest, and this beautiful tidal area is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The natural sur­ro­un­dings in Kromose are truly out­stan­ding, and the nearby Kirkeby Plan­ta­tion and the viewpoint Spids­b­jerg are also worth a visit. If you want to swim, Lakolk Beach and Sønder­strand are perfect excursion desti­na­tions – unless you prefer an indoor swim, in which case you can drive over the dam to the mainland, where, as a guest in the holiday home, you have free access to the water park at Skærbækcentret.
