Welcome inside
In this cosy holiday house the original charm has been preserved, and what you do not find in grandeur, you find in cosy and original details such as the leaded windows with coloured glass. In the living room you have a wood burner and a cosy bed, decorated as a kind of narrator’s sofa, and in the conservatory next door, you have a view to the garden and can sit by the dining table for the meals.
Enjoy life outside
The garden has a tight vegetation of fern and bigger trees and bushes, but there are also open areas on the lawn with light as well as several small terraces, where you may settle down with a cup of tea or coffee and a good book. For children there are plenty of places to explore and play hide-and-seek in, while the adults are lying down to enjoy the sun.
Get close to the local attractions
Nygård Lake with Næsholm castle ruin is located 3km from the holiday house in Klint, and we at Feriepartner Odsherred recommend you to go for a small excursion to this destination.
Nygård Lake is an artificial lake created by blocking the stream from the moor area – a so-called damming-up – in the 13th century. The purpose was to protect the castle Næsholm that was situated like an island in the lake. Næsholm was connected to the mainland by a bridge in 1278.
Around Nygård Lake there is a 4km long footpath, and there is a rich birdlife of nightingales, reed buntings etc. living in the scrub area around the lake. With plenty of fish in the lakes and small birds around the lakes, the area is also attractive to birds of prey such as marsh harrier, white-tailed eagle and osprey – the eagles are particularly active in spring and in autumn.
Besides birds, many Danish animals may be spotted here such as hare, fox, roe deer, polecat, stoat, grass-snake and slow-worm.
