Description
Skærby and Nordstrand by Kattegat are among the oldest holiday house developments by Nykøbing, and here you have one of the few original houses built in 1942 at Skærby Strand. The area has preserved the original vegetation with crowberries and heather rather than planted hedges. The landscape is undulating and part of the former ”shifting sand lots” that were parcelled out from about 1936 to – amongst others – the nurses at the local town hospital and at the mental hospital. The beaches are among the best and most popular in Odsherred, and several camping sites are located close to the beaches. There are only two kilometres to the market town Nykøbing and seven kilometres to Rørvig.
Welcome inside
You will feel transported to another era, when you sit down on the chairs at the table by the window in the living room and take a look at the many old and funny objects in the house, such as old tools hanging on the wall and old lamps, paintings and bric-a-brac. They create charm and beauty to the house, and it is as if time is standing still here in the house close to the sea. Here you may dream and fantasize, paint, write a poem or a short story. The house has no WiFi.
Enjoy life outside
The loghouse has a covered terrace, more like a conservatory, where you may sit with a cup of coffee and look out to the most fantastic nature plot with heather and small paths, watch the starry sky or listen to the roaring of the waves.
Get close to the local attractions
Odsherred has the good fortune to be enriched with a lot of art and culture as well as a fantastic regional theatre, located in the middle of the pedestrian street Algade in Nykøbing, only a few kilometres from the holiday house. We at Feriepartner Odsherred recommend you to study the programme of the theatre, because they offer something for every taste: summer revue, stand-up comedy, Christmas shows, theatre concerts, the best from Danish touring theatres, theatre for children, young people and families, opera brunch and much more.
