Welcome inside

Here you are met by a lovely and cosy house with a panoramic view from the beautiful open living room with dining section and the open kitchen; here everybody can gather around acti­vi­ties.. You have a view of the Isefjord, fields and the nature garden with plenty of birds and insects. Settle down with a nice cup of coffee or a good book and watch life outside, while you are enjoying the heat from the crackling wood burner.

The bedroom with a double bed also offers a direct view of the Isefjord and the garden, and you have a bed recess in the living room that sleeps two, adults or children.

Enjoy life outside

The holiday house is located at the end of a very quiet road. On the plot you have many po­s­si­bi­li­ties to choose your own favourite spot, as there are several terraces, and in the nature garden you find well kept garden paths and spots, where you may place your garden chair. You can also enjoy the view of the fields from the bench, and maybe you have the luck to spot a fallow deer.

When hunger ap­pro­a­ches and you feel like pizza, how about making your own pizza in the outdoor pizza oven.

The shelter in one corner of the garden is a cosy place to take an overnight in the open, light a bonfire and enjoy the view of the Isefjord or watch the children play on the play­gro­und. On the plot there is also a cosy annex that sleeps two, so the house sleeps a total of 6.

Get close to the local at­tra­ctions

Go for a walk or a bicycle ride – take an outing to explore Horns­her­red and sur­ro­un­dings – there is every kind of po­s­si­bi­li­ty. In the small village Venslev you find the local rallying point ”Høkeren”, and you can visit Selsø Castle on a guided tour. You could also take a hike in nature on the marked paths to enjoy the versatile bird life and visit the lupine field in the flowering period. Or you can visit the nature park Skjol­dun­ger­nes Land and Egholm Museum.

In the immediate vicinity, Svanholm Gods, one of Denmark's oldest large col­lecti­ves from 1978 with a farm cafe and the po­s­si­bi­li­ty of tours, is a good excursion desti­na­tion.

A little further north you reach Jægerpris with the old castle, and here you may enjoy an ice cream from one of the fantastic ice cream stalls. On your trip around the region of Horns­her­red you find many cosy and nice eating places, so that your stomach is also happy. South of the holiday house you have the cosy market town Holbæk and a bit further Roskilde with a history that goes far back in time. Here you find Roskilde Cathedral and the Viking Ship Museum, located by the charming harbour.
