Welcome inside

Imagine stepping into a classic, charming Danish holiday home that instantly captures the essence of vacation vibes. Here, the soul of the past meets the comfort of the present in the most delightful way. The bright and modern kitchen is brand new, ready to set the stage for cozy meals after a day filled with adventures. The bathroom is also new, offering a touch of luxury in the heart of authentic holiday home nostalgia. The rest of the house is a loving blend of old and new. Each piece of furniture tells its own story, merging beautifully into a warm and inviting atmosphere. The original lacquered wooden floors creak softly, as they have for generations, and the exposed beams beneath the vaulted ceiling are a reminder of a time when things were built with both hands and heart. The sliding doors inside the house provide space and freedom – just what you need on a holiday. In the spacious master bedroom, a wonderful king-size double bed awaits you, while the window offers a lovely view of the green garden, where the morning sun plays through the trees. The two other bedrooms are just as cozy – one with two single beds, perfect for friends or teenagers, and the other a haven for children with a single bed and a comfy mattress on the loft.

This is a place where memories are made, and hearts find peace.

Enjoy life outside

Nature and the sea are practically your closest neighbors. Here, you’re in the front row to the beach, just 400 meters away, across the coastal meadow in front of the house. The beach boasts the prestigious Blue Flag, promising clear waters and great swimming experiences for both young and old. The plot itself spans nearly 3,000 square meters, offering plenty of space to roam and find your favorite spot. Around the house, a spacious terrace wraps itself, providing numerous sun-filled and sheltered corners where you can enjoy your morning coffee, a glass of wine, or a grilled meal as the sun sets.

Get up close to the local attractions

Gjerrild Nordstrand is a gem on the north coast of Djursland, renowned for its lovely sandy beach, where you can take a refreshing dip or cast your fishing line to catch your own dinner. The area is surrounded by beautiful deciduous forests that enchant visitors year-round. Numerous walking and cycling trails along the northern coastline make it easy to combine outdoor adventures with exercise – and here, exercise feels more like a gift than a chore. In summer, you can enjoy freshly baked bread, ice cream, or crispy fries from the nearby campsite, located just a short distance from the house. Gjerrild Nordstrand also has a fascinating history as an old gravel loading site, which has shaped the area into a stunning and varied coastal landscape. Once, the railway from Grenaa passed through here before continuing into the beautiful Djursland. This historical connection can still be felt as you explore the area, which bears traces of the bustling activity of the past. On the way to the beach, you’ll drive through the village of Gjerrild – a charming little town with a picturesque church featuring beautiful frescoes, a local grocery store, and a cozy inn. The inn is famous for its delicious Danish dishes, and just behind it, you’ll find the impressive Sostrup Castle, steeped in history. From Gjerrild, it’s about 15 kilometers to Grenaa, where you can stroll through the charming pedestrian streets, enjoy the sidewalk cafés, and shop for a few holiday treasures. Don’t miss a visit to the Kattegatcenter, where sharks and penguins are ready to fascinate visitors of all ages. For the adventurous, ferries to Anholt and Sweden await. Treat the kids to a day at Djurs Sommerland, Scandinavia’s largest amusement park, known for introducing exciting new attractions every year. And just an hour’s drive away, you’ll find the historic town of Ebeltoft, National Park Mols Bjerge, and Ree Park – all ready to make your holiday unforgettable.
