Step outside into a wonderful holiday oasis with lovely terraces on both sides of the house – one of them secluded and sheltered. The gently un­du­lat­ing grounds radiate holiday spirit and invite all the things memories are made of. There’s plenty of space for big smiles and rosy cheeks as the children race down the slide or swing high into the sky, their laughter filling the warm summer air. The climbing frame calls to ad­ven­tu­rous little ones eager to test their skills, and the tram­po­li­ne promises hours of bouncing fun – maybe even a cheerful contest to see who can jump the highest.

The green sur­ro­un­dings set the perfect scene for spon­ta­neous picnics in the grass and ball games under the sunshine. Get up close to the local at­tra­ctions

Skovgårde Strand is a peaceful and very scenic area located a few ki­lo­metres west of Fjellerup Strand. Once an old fishing hamlet, today it is a beautiful nature spot along the coast of Nord­djursland. The beach is very child-friendly, has a Blue Flag cer­ti­fi­ca­tion, and there are tables and benches where you can grill and dine while enjoying the view of the water – and perhaps the children are still splashing about.

The nature in and around Skovgårde is stunning and varied, with many hiking trails and small roads ideal for walking and cycling tours. Along the coastline, you’ll find excellent fishing op­portu­ni­ties. Visit the local area and buy fresh fish, Danish ve­ge­tab­les, and honey. Djurs Som­mer­land never fails to surprise with a new at­tra­ction every year and is a sure hit with the children – located just a 15-minute drive from the house. You can also visit the bears at Scan­di­navi­an Wildlife Park, sharks and penguins at the Kattegat Centre, or ex­pe­ri­en­ce life among nobles and servants at the Gammel Estrup Manor. If you are craving a city vibe and some culture, Denmark’s second-largest city, Aarhus, is only an hour’s drive away. Or why not visit Randers Ra­in­fo­rest and its "tropics," just half an hour from the house? There are endless po­s­si­bi­li­ties all across Djursland.
