Get up close to the local attractions
Fjellerup Strand is an old fishing village located in an attractive holiday area on the coast of Norddjursland. The beach is very child-friendly with a blue flag. Here you'll find dunes, alleys, shallow water, and sandy bottoms. The nature in and around Fjellerup is fantastic and varied with many hiking trails and smaller roads ideal for cycling. Enjoy the spring with yellow rapeseed fields and the most beautiful, newly sprung light green forests. Along the coast, there are great opportunities for fishing. Nearby attractions include Mejlgård Castle, the dolmens at Tustrup, and the Gl. Estrup Agricultural Museum. The house is about a 15-minute drive from Northern Europe's largest amusement park, Djurs Sommerland, and about a half-hour drive from the charming town of Grenaa, where you can visit sharks at the Kattegat Centre. If you're willing to drive an hour, you can visit the southern part of Djursland with Ebeltoft and Mols Bjerge or visit Denmark's second-largest city, Aarhus.
