The area around Øer is a beautiful, popular holiday desti­na­tion close to the forest and beach. The beach is known for its shallow water and fine sand. At some parts of the beach you will find a mixture of sand and stone. Mountain bikers can look forward to a 13-kilometre MTB trail that offers different levels of dif­fi­culty. Within a five-minute drive, you can reach Ebeltoft harbour, where you can visit the Glass Museum, one of the leading museums in the field of modern glass art. The harbour area also offers several good re­stau­rants and fis­h­mon­gers. Ebelt­oft's charming cobbled alleyways are lined with small shops selling handcraf­ted items and cosy cafés. Ebelt­oft's biggest at­tra­ction is the old town hall, Det Gamle Rådhus, where countless couples from all over the world get married every year. Around an hour's drive takes you to the in­te­r­e­sting Kat­te­gat­cen­tret in Grenaa and the largest amusement park in the north, Djurs Som­mer­land. We would also recommend a visit to Ree Park and Skan­di­na­visk Dyrepark and, of course, a long walk in the fantastic Mols Bjerge National Park.
