This holiday home with room for 4 adults and 2 children is the perfect setting for a wonderful stay on Samsø in beautiful natural surroundings. The holiday home is only 100 metres from the beach and is located in the attractive area, Maarup Forest.

Welcome inside
The holiday home exudes cosiness and the original style with wooden walls and ceilings has been preserved. This creates a cosy and classic cottage atmosphere, so you can relax and unwind in this lovely house.

From the entrance hall, you can access the bedrooms and the house's common areas: the kitchen and living room.
The kitchen is a classic holiday home kitchen that is open to talk to those already seated at the dining table, but at the same time, it is also a bit closed off from the rest of the living room. In the kitchen you can prepare your holiday meals and you'll find great facilities such as a dishwasher and oven/stove. The dining table, which is connected to the kitchen and living room, is located by the large windows facing the terrace and the green surroundings. It's great to sit here and enjoy your holiday meals or play a game. When the weather permits, it's also ideal to open the large sliding terrace doors so that the terrace becomes an extension of the living room and nature comes right inside.

The living room is cosy with comfortable furniture and large floor-to-ceiling windows facing the terrace, providing a lovely light and views of the green surroundings. You can also turn up the heat and cosiness in the wood-burning stove during the cold periods. In the living room is a TV without channels but with a Chromecast so you can watch your own content via your phone.

There are three bedrooms in the house. Two of the rooms are furnished with double beds and closet space, while the third room has a bunk bed for the youngest guests. You can easily get a good night's sleep in these cosy rooms. The bathroom is a smaller and classic holiday home bathroom, but functional and with a window overlooking the forest.

You can look forward to a wonderful holiday in this house that oozes cosiness. At the same time, the location is fantastic in the forest and with a lovely beach just 100 metres from the house.

Enjoy life outside

Mårup Skov/Forest is an attractive holiday home area, as you're surrounded by forest and close to the sea. The holiday home is only 100 metres from a lovely sandy beach where you can go for long walks or jump into the blue waves. Around the holiday home, the forest is close by, so you're on a natural site with heather and tall grass. The semi-covered south-facing terrace of the holiday home has good garden furniture and offers both shelter and views of the forest and sea.
The covered terrace continues around the east-facing side of the house, where you can sit in peace and quiet and enjoy the surroundings.

The Mårup Forest area is protected, so barbecues are not allowed. Alternatively, you can take a portable barbecue down to the beach.

Get up close to the local attractions
Mårup Skov is a lovely holiday home area where all the wooden holiday homes have grass on the roof and blend in with nature. The area is quiet and along the northern east coast is a sandy beach where it's great for swimming.

Mårup town is 1 kilometre from the holiday home and there is a grocery store, cafés and bicycle rental. Mårup Harbour is also a short bike ride or drive from the holiday home and there is a cosy little marina with a restaurant and good hiking routes. Just 3 kilometres from the holiday home is the cosy village of Nordby, known for its pretty street pond and iconic bell tower. There are also several restaurants and great ice-cream parlours.

With its hilly glacial landscape, northern Samsø is always beautiful to experience regardless of the season. In particular, Samsø's northernmost point Issehoved and the highest point Ballebjerg are always worth a visit and a walk.
Along the bay of Sælvig and out to Langør, it is beautiful to cycle and explore nature along the coast.
On the narrowest part of Samsø, you pass the Kanhave Canal, which was the Panama Canal of the Viking Age.

It's easy to cycle between Samsø's 22 villages and many of the small towns have shops, cafés, a street pond or a gallery. In the largest town, Tranebjerg, there are good shopping opportunities, several restaurants, a tourist information centre and the local museum.
In the harbour town of Ballen, there is plenty of life in the summer with restaurants, shops and small concerts.
Travelling further south, you can visit the forest at Brattingborg and climb Vesborg Lighthouse for views across Samsø and all the way to Funen, Jutland and Zealand.
