Cozy wooden summer house with panoramic views of the Wadden Sea
House-ID: 0264Do you dream of spending your holiday in scenic and peaceful surroundings? Then you should take a closer look at this charming summer house, which is located on a small, closed road with a view of the Wadden Sea.
Welcome inside
The classic wooden house has stood in this picturesque spot on the Danish map since 1950. Since then, excellent improvements have been made – for example, in 2018, when the house was enlarged by 10 m², making the view of the Wadden Sea even better from the living room. The living room is a lovely place to enjoy holiday life. In 2020, an additional 7 m² was added, which is used as a bedroom. From here, there is access to the southwest-facing terrace. The large window sections allow you to gaze out over the open coastal landscape and the Wadden Sea while generous amounts of daylight are invited indoors. A wood stove spreads coziness and warmth, and there is also the option to use the heat pump. The living room has an open connection to a small and functional kitchen, and the layout additionally includes a bathroom and three bedrooms with a total of five sleeping spaces. Please note that the ceiling height in some rooms of the house is only about 1.75 m, and the height in the bathroom shower niche is 1.80 m.
Enjoy life outside
On the plot, there are several lovely spots where you can settle down and enjoy the summer weather and relaxed holiday life. A partially covered terrace is the obvious choice when you want to sit and admire the view of the Wadden Sea, and there is also a completely covered terrace and an open terrace to choose from. You can, of course, also find a sunny spot on the garden lawn if you wish, while the children can play in the sandbox and make artistic impressions on the swing set. Moreover, the house allows for a small dog to accompany you – which will surely appreciate the scenic surroundings as well.
Get up close to the local attractions
The Wadden Sea is a beautiful backdrop when you stay in this house, but it can also serve as a destination for various activities. A daily stroll along the water's edge is wonderful, and as a change of pace, you can join a guided tour that takes you out onto the mudflats during low tide. For much of the year, there are opportunities to collect oysters, and for bird enthusiasts, the bird life here by the Wadden Sea, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, is particularly rich. If you enjoy riding, there is an Icelandic center very close to the summer house that arranges rides in the forest and on the beach – and if you prefer bicycles, there are bike rentals in Havneby. The summer house is located near Havneby, thus close to the town's supermarket and a good selection of restaurants. From the harbor, you can also take the ferry to List on the German holiday island of Sylt if you feel like a boat trip.
