On Eastern Funen, you will find the old, charming market town of Nyborg.

Nyborg oozes ancient history with its im­pres­si­ve medieval castle, Nyborg Castle, which was establis­hed back in the 13th century. The castle adorns the townscape and is the backdrop for several social events taking place in the town, espe­ci­al­ly in the summer. Here you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce the Medieval Festival and a wide range of musicals and theatre per­for­man­ces, among other things.

Near the town centre, you will find Nyborg Strand, a popular beach with fine sand and clear water. The beach is a true at­tra­ction for the locals and ho­li­day­ma­kers alike.
