Bønnerup Strand is a small fishing village on Djursland and a popular holiday destination. Here you will find a wide sandy beach with shallow waters - ideal for water sports for the adventurous, and clamshell hunting for the young ones. Among the locals, the beach is actually known as Djursland’s best, and of course it is also Blue Flag-certified. In the summertime, the town’s harbour is a well-known gathering place for locals and the area’s many holidaymakers, and there are activities for both young and old. At the harbour you will also find local shops and eateries.

Ebeltoft is a small town frozen in time, with crooked half-timbered houses and narrow, cobbled streets. And just a short distance from the coast, you have several child-friendly beaches within easy reach. Along the coasts there is also ample opportunity for water sports and angling. Here you can also visit the historic frigate, Jylland. Ebeltoft is surrounded by Djursland’s beautiful natural areas and well-known attractions. Here you will find, among other things, Mols Bjerge, Djurs Sommerland amusement park and the natural Bronze Age landscape, Trehøje. On the northern coast of Djursland you will find the holiday town of Fjellerup Strand. Here you can enjoy life by the wide, child-friendly coastline with fine-grained sand and shallow waters. These surroundings are perfect for sunbathing, play and relaxation. Near the small holiday town you will find Meilgaard Gods, which is among Denmark’s oldest manor houses. Admire the stunning old castle building and visit the adjacent castle park. The estate is surrounded by dense forest - Meilgaard Skov - where you can go hiking and biking and explore the natural surroundings. From Fjellerup Strand you have only 20 minutes by car to Djurs Sommerland amusement park.

Følle Strand is a charming holiday area on Djursland near Kalø Vig. Here you can enjoy life on the south-facing sandy beach with its shallow waters. The beach provides the perfect setting, especially for young holidaymakers who want to play on the water’s edge. From the beach, you can also enjoy the view of Mols and its magnificent nature. In Følle Strand you are close to several historical sights. Just 15 minutes by car, is the medieval castle ruin, Kalø Slotsruin, a 700-year-old fortress. Here you can follow the cobbled paths and enjoy nature and the historical surroundings.

Just 15 km from Grenaa is the holiday area, Gjerrild Nordstrand. The beach has been awarded Blue Flag-certification, and for good reason. Here you can enjoy the clear waters, fine sand and calm surroundings. Perfect for splashing, relaxing and playing. The area is close to the town of Gjerrild and the natural phenomenon of Gjerrild Klint, which is a 35 metre high lime cliff. From here you can experience the impressive views and, if you are into angling, you can try your luck with a fishing rod. In this area you will find several paths and trails that connect Gjerrild and Bønnerup. Put on your hiking shoes and explore nature.

Grenå Strand

With a holiday in Grenå Strand, you can enjoy life on the beach to the sound of waves, experience several cultural sights in the city centre and feel the maritime atmosphere of the harbour. Just 4 km from the beach you will find Grenaa town centre.
