Holiday house at Odden in front row to the sea

At Yderby Lyng, where Sjællands Odde becomes the narrow tongue of land, Gniben, you find a peaceful holiday house area close to two beaches with bathing and angling po­s­si­bi­li­ties: Kattegat on one side and Sejerø Bay on the other. You are very close to the ferry to the second-largest city in Denmark, Aarhus, and you are in an active area with scenic nature and po­s­si­bi­li­ties for walks plus the popular village Odden Havneby with fish re­stau­rants, a fis­h­mon­ger, play­gro­und and much more.

Welcome inside

The lovely and well furnished holiday house with sea view and only 100m to a stony beach is a good base for an active holiday. From the living room you can follow the roaring of the waves and keep an eye on the acti­vi­ties at sea. The holiday house is designed with a great open kitchen with good dining space, from where you also have a sea view through the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room. When you return from a nice walk, it is feels good to get inside the house again, light the wood burner and then spend some time in the sauna, followed by a dip in the spa bath.

Enjoy life outside

From the plot you have a full sea view and can see the island Sejerø in the distance, and you may follow the routes of the ferries and ships. The plot offers a play tower with a house, a swing and a slide for the children, and in front of the house there is a nice terrace, where you may take your daily meals or just enjoy a coffee. A walk along the beach is a must. If you cross Gnibenvej, you reach another beach towards Kattegat and can take a walk along the in­tri­gu­ing nature area Topperne, created after stone exca­va­tion in the period from 1870 to the 1960’es. But if you walk past the ferry harbour and continue a couple of hundred metres, you find sand on the beach. The sea changes the beach, but here there is often a sandy bottom.

Get close to the local at­tra­ctions

Odden has many at­tra­ctions on offer – a fis­h­mon­ger and fish re­stau­rants and cafés in Havnebyen, where you also find a play­gro­und and the smo­ke­hou­se Odden Røgeri, designed by the famous Danish architect Arne Jacobsen and open during the summer holidays.
