Cosy family holiday house close to Sejerø Bay
House-ID: 12259With only a few hundred metres to the fresh sea in Sejerø Bay and a bit longer to Kattegat on the northern side, this cosy holiday house is located in a peaceful holiday house area. The village Havnebyen at Sjællands Odde with restaurants, cafés and a well stocked fishmonger, open all year round, a yachting harbour and a playground is not far away.
Welcome inside
The living room in the holiday house has big south-facing windows towards the garden, and you may chose between several good sofa spots in the front row to the garden and just enjoy the view or read a good book. At the coffee table and by the dining table there is plenty of room to play board games for the entire family. From the open kitchen you have fine contact to life in the living room and may bake buns or prepare dinner, while you are following the conversation. At bedtime there is a choice between single beds, bunk bed or double bed, spread between the two small bedrooms.
Enjoy life outside
In the beautiful light, open and undisturbed garden, surrounded by tall trees, you have the possibility to enjoy the sun all day long from the south-facing terraces along the house, or at the end of the house. You may also grab a deckchair and place it somewhere in the shade on the lawn. In the garden you may also use the garden games that you brought, such as croquet or pole tennis. Here you also find a swing and a trampoline for the children to enjoy. A very short walk brings you to the beach, offering paths along the coast and nice bathing water. When the wind is right, you may also try your SUP or windsurfer in the bay.
Get close to the local attractions
Not far from the holiday house, we at Feriepartner Odsherred will recommend you to go for a walk at Ebbeløkke towards Kattegat. Here you may fully enjoy the scenic nature.
On both sides of the fertile moraine soil you find slopes with genuine natural wood. There is a fantastic view of Kattegat as well as Sejerø Bay and the possibilities for walks filled with attractions of all kinds. From Ebbeløkke the cattle were driven down a cattle path to the poor soils on the raised sea bottom from the Stone Age sea. When you follow the ancient cattle path – from Ebbekøkke Stræde in the footprints of the shepherd boys - a fantastic experience is awaiting, when you get across the range of hills and have a view of the Sejerø Bay. It is so breathtakingly beautiful here that you just want to sit down in shelter of the stone fence to enjoy the view and the refreshments that you brought, before continuing the walk downhill and past the scenic natural forest Solåsen.
