Description
Overby Lyng at Sjællands Odde offers great possibilities for bathing and angling from the two beaches – the Kattegat coast towards north and Sejerø Bay towards south. You will be staying in an area with versatile nature and a rich bird life, good possibilities for walks and not far to the charming fishing village Havnebyen with a fishmonger with its own smokehouse, open all year, several eating places and a maritime environment with yachtsmen, fishing boats and activities for the entire family.
Welcome inside
The house is particularly well suited for a couple, and you will feel close to everything and still out in nature. Sit down on the broad chaise longue and enjoy the silence, take out your knitting and spend some hours on your hobby. Meanwhile your partner could prepare a meal in the kitchen or maybe bake a cake with chocolate, icing and coconut. Here you have peace and quiet, and time is your own.
Enjoy life outside
The plot and the surroundings are characterized by the high old pine trees and the view to the blue sea. Sit down in the bamboo sofa under the porch roof between the two sections of the house and look towards the blue sea, while you are meditating and keeping an eye open, should a deer be passing by.
You can see, hear and smell the sea 40m away, and you may take a swim in the fresh sea or bring your rod and hope for a catch by the good angling spots along the Kattegat coast and the steep coastal slopes at Ebbeløkke.
Get close to the local attractions
We at Feriepartner Odsherred recommend you to go for a walk on Ebbeløkke Stræde just a few kilometres east of the holiday house.
When you walk on the ancient cattle path at Ebbeløkke Stræde in the footsteps of the cattle boys, a fantastic experience is awaiting, when you cross the hill crest and have a view of the entire Sejerø Bay. This is so beautiful that you want to sit down in shelter of the drystone wall to enjoy the view and your own refreshments, until the tour continues down the slope and past the beautiful nature forest Solåsen. On both sides of the fertile moraine land, you find slopes with genuine natural forests. Here you have a breathtaking view of Kattegat as well as Sejerø Bay and also possibilities for walks filled with all kinds of experiences. From Ebbeløkke village the cattle were driven along a cattle path down to the poor soil on the raised seabed from the Stone Age sea.
