Lovely holiday house on huge nature plot front row to the sea

The beach, the sea, the quiet and nature are rather unique at the outmost tip of Sjællands Odde – Gniben at Yderby Lyng, where im­pres­si­ve holiday houses are fitted into the special nature with sea on both sides. Here you may walk along the stony beach or on the paths in the un­du­lat­ing grounds called Topperne after many years of stone exca­va­tion. Here you find some of the best angling spots in Odsherred, galleries, farm shops and the cosy fishing village Havnebyen with a fis­h­mon­ger, re­stau­rants and cafés.

Welcome inside

The holiday house is located on a huge nature plot directly facing the beach and the sea and is very well suited for two couple / four adults or a small family with children. The light spacious living room with open kitchen and a rustic coffee and dining table is the centre of the house. You will quickly feel at ease at the long oak tree dining table or in the sofa with the coffee table. In both places you have a great view through the terrace windows to the nature plot with scarce pine ve­ge­ta­tion, bushes, heather and the sea.

Enjoy life outside
When opening the terrace door, you have access to a great, big terrace with the po­s­si­bi­li­ty to create shelter with a winds­hield or shade by the dining table, where you may serve today’s dinner directly from the barbecue. You may also lose yourself to the calming sound from the sea, read a good book or take a trip along the beach in your sea kayak, on your surfboard or SUP. And if you brought your fishing rod, Odden offers several fine angling spots, where you may have the good fortune to land sea trout, cod or flatfish and - in the season – garfish and mackerel.

Get close to the local at­tra­ctions
Go for a visit to the candle make and life-style boutique Ka­sta­ni­e­lys at Lønnebjerggård on Sønder­vangs­vej close to the holiday house. Ka­sta­ni­e­lys is located right across from one of the vineyards belonging to Ørnberg Vin, where you may join a guided tour of the vineyard during the summer months. The main part of the vines is growing on the fields by Hvi­de­lyk­kegård on Drus­b­jerg­vej. On the guided tour you can hear the story about how the two childhood friends, Niels Esbjerg Jensen from Hvi­de­lyk­kegård and Anders Ørnberg from Lønnebjerggård, had the idea for the vineyard, now owning a total of 20.000 vines spread over six hectares, and from 2024 is run by Anders Ørnberg, following the bio-dynamic prin­cip­les.
