Charming holiday house in the middle of peaceful nature area close to the beach
House-ID: 15505As another small ridge close to the coast of Northwest-Zealand, Veddinge Bakker are rising. The moraine hills, created during the last Ice Age 17.000 years ago, are sheltering the holiday house area and Sejerø Bay and have steep slopes, giving the holiday house area along the sea a separate location. Here you find peace and quiet, access to fine angling spots, good bathing beaches and a big nature area in the hinterland that is protected and offers good paths as well as panoramic views. Not without reason the area is called the Alps of Zealand. The holiday house in red-plastered brick is located on a hilly plot surrounded by high trees and vegetation. You are in the middle of the peaceful and tranquil nature of Veddinge Hills.
Welcome inside
In the spacious and light living room with the rustic kitchen there is plenty of room around the dining table for creative hobbies. When you take a walk in nature, pick some wild flowers that you may sit by the table and press them in a book, so that they can dry and be used for decorations, your own personal pictures, cards or ornaments. In one of the bedrooms you also have room to be creative, f.inst. by sowing your own clothes or writing poems or short stories by the desk.
Enjoy life outside
In the big garden you find nice sections to settle down in – here is a hammock and a bonfire setting, a garden trampoline and a lovely terrace to relax on. The beach is only a few hundred metres away, offering good angling and bathing possibilities.
The area is beautiful and undulating, so if you love to get out into fresh nature, it is a perfect starting point for a bicycle ride or a walk.
Get close to the local attractions
We at Feriepartner Odsherred recommend you to take a walk in Høve forest, located only a few kilometres from the holiday house and that you may also reach by taking the walk along the coast.
Høve forest is located at the foot of the Vejrhøjbuen ridge in Odsherred with the mighty hills and the many burial mounds. The beech forest is luxuriant, and the 150 years old pine trees are growing all the way down to the beach towards Sejerø Bay. The entire Høve forest is a dog forest, so here you may take your four-legged friend on a walk without a leash. You can also look for amber on the beach, go for a swim or fish for sea trout.
