Description
The cosy village Ordrup by Ordrup Næs has a village pond as well as several cafés and restaurants and is a lively stamping ground for the many holiday makers in the surrounding holiday houses. It is not far to the bathing beaches on either side of Ordrup Næs or to good angling spots. You may also go for a walk in the nearby forest Næsskov or get culinary treats at Dragsholm Castle with their Michelin restaurant.
Welcome inside
This roomy holiday house, peacefully and centrally located in Ordrup, creates the setting for a holiday full of activities. With the inside beams the house exudes cosiness, and when the wood burner is lit, there is a unique atmosphere. By the dining table in the spacious living room you may entertain the “chef”, while the pots are sizzling, and it is also here you can discuss the day’s events and plan tomorrow’s activities. You may gather in the sofa corner for a game or two and enjoy the heat from the wood burner, if it gets cold. When the evening is coming to an end, you can just lie down in the beds, and you will quickly fall asleep.
Enjoy life outside
In the garden there is room to play petanque or croquet and find a nice spot for the sun bed to read a good book or take a nap in the afternoon, before you go to the grocery store for Isøre ice cream – the local ice cream brand. A walk in the nearby forest Næsskov with many activities for children is also an obvious choice as is a stroll down to the public bathing beach by Sejerø Bay.
Get close to the local attractions
If you have not visited the countryside and particularly the Lammefjord before, we at Feriepartner Odsherred will recommend a tour to Besøgsmarken (=Visitors’ Field), located at the centre of the Lammefjord on the corner of Adelers Allé and Rådhusvej and borders on Rådhusvej 75 in Fårevejle Stationsby. During the summer holidays you may book yourselves into activities on the Visitors’ Field, where you will meet a host and join a field walk, and when autumn comes, help harvest the fine crops that the Lammefjord is so famous for. Visit the area and find the connection between the geology in the reclaimed fjord and the special soil character that creates the optimum conditions for growing produce.
If you want fish for dinner and brought your fishing rod, there are good possibilities for a nice catch here to accompany the crops, you harvested on the Visitors’ Field.
