Description
Høve is the highest located village on Zealand, and not far from the house you find Esterhøj Hill. If you go up the steps to Esterhøj with the Reunion Memorial stone, you are 89 metres above sea level and have a breathtaking view of the Sejerø Bay and half of Odsherred and Lyngen area with the many holiday houses. The area is nice for walks as well as challenging bicycle tours in the hilly landscape, particularly around Veddinge Bakker. When Denmark hosted the prologue of Tour de France a couple of years ago, the field naturally cycled up Høve Hill.
Welcome inside
In the light and open living room with floor-to-ceiling windows the entire family can spend some cosy hours around board games and pancakes. The house is roomy and exudes charm. From the open kitchen you may easily serve the meatballs or hotdogs by the dining table, and you can follow the conversation around the table while preparing a lunch with fish cakes and rye bread. If you are two couples, you can have each your bathroom. Please note that access to the loft bed is via a steep ladder.
Enjoy life outside
The spacious nature plot offers plenty of room for playing and ball games, and your children will enjoy the swing and the slide in the play area or to make sand cakes in the sand box. Meanwhile you may sunbathe on the big open terrace and invite to barbecued sausages by the terrace table. When the dew is falling, you can withdraw onto the covered terrace. You may also use the grass plot bordering on your plot.
Get close to the local attractions
For families with children, the biggest attraction in Odsherred is no doubt the amusement park Sommerland Sjælland with over 60 different activities, from the extremely popular trampolines to the beloved park train and the big Aqua Land, the Blue Lagoon. With eating places in the park and a lot of different Streetfood restaurants next to the Miniland, you will need at least one entire day to get through all the experiences. Not far from the holiday house you may go for a walk in Høve forest, and in case of a little rain, you can visit the shopping centre in Asnæs town. If you want to invite for some delicious food, you should visit Dragsholm Castle that offers Michelin-gastronomy but also great food in more informal surroundings.
