The holiday home first offers a nice and functional kitchen, where the dining table is an extension of the kitchen. At the table is a window with a view of the garden when you eat your holiday meals. The kitchen is bright and functional, but the classic holiday home atmosphere has been preserved.
The living room is decorated with soft furniture, so you can make yourself comfortable here and relax after a day of adventures on Samsø or watch a good film together. Adjacent to the living room is a conservatory where the large windows provide a lovely light and views of the surroundings and the fields to the north-west. Here you can spend many hours together, and even if the weather isn't great, the summer room allows you to relax with plenty of light and views. From the conservatory there is also a patio door with direct access to the garden.
The holiday home has two bedrooms with two good single beds in each room. Each room also has a wardrobe and a window overlooking the green surroundings. You're sure to get a good night's sleep here.
By the entrance is the bathroom, which, like the rest of the house, is bright and inviting with a good walk-in shower.
The house is practical and has everything you need for your holiday, but it also gives you the feeling of a classic cottage holiday. Here you can relax and just enjoy the surroundings on Samsø.
Enjoy life outside
The holiday home is located on a large plot that is open to the north-west, providing a good view of the fields and sea views. The garden is not fenced, so be aware of this if you have a dog with you. You can fully enjoy nature and the tranquil surroundings as the house is located on the edge of the holiday home area, Vesterløkken.
The holiday home has a good east-facing tiled terrace. It's often sheltered and perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or the sun during the day. The garden is west-facing, and you can easily walk out from the conservatory. Make yourselves comfortable in the sun loungers or play a game together on the large lawn.
Get up close to the local attractions
Vesterløkken is an attractive holiday home area beautifully situated on the west-facing coast of Samsø. There are trees, bushes and gravel roads between the holiday homes, so it's quiet all year round. The coast is just 400 metres from the holiday home, so after a short walk you'll be at the beach. The beach is a pebble beach, but in the summer there is a jetty where you can go for a swim. Close to the holiday home you'll also find Ilsemade Helligkilde, a mythical spring dating back over 2000 years.
From Vesterløkken it's just 4 kilometres to Tranebjerg, where there are several shopping opportunities as well as the island's tourist information, Samsø Museum and several cosy shops and cafés. Also visit Ballen on the opposite coast, which in summer is a lively harbour town with several restaurants and shops.
Just north of Ballen is Samsø Golf Club, a beautifully situated 18-hole golf course.
If you drive further north, don't miss Nordby, a cosy and very well-preserved village with a street pond and bell tower. On the northernmost part of Samsø, Issehoved and Nordby Bakker are always worth a visit, with its beautiful hilly landscape and views of the Kattegat.
