Description
Charming holiday apartment in village house in the middle of Samsø in modern and cosy style
This holiday apartment in a newly renovated village house is perfect for two people who are looking for a very special holiday experience. The house used to be a small grocery but is now a stylish and modern accommodation just 1.5 kilometres to Samsø's west coast.
Interior
The holiday apartment consists of an entrance hall, kitchen, bathroom and a bedroom at the south end of the village house. By the entrance is a lovely wooden terrace, facing south, with a good view of the peaceful garden. The kitchen has all the necessary facilities to prepare your meals, but at the same time you enjoy visiting the many restaurants and the outdoor life of Samsø.
The kitchen has a fridge, a small oven, two hotplates and various cooking accessories. There is also a dining area where you can plan your day or enjoy your holiday meals and the goodness of the south-facing windows. The kitchen is bright and decorated in a cosy yet modern style.
The style continues in the bedroom with a comfortable double bed, bedside lamps and tables, as well as ample storage space. This room has windows facing west to the peaceful, green garden, so it's completely quiet here.
The bathroom is small but fits in the apartment for two people. Like the rest of the house, it has been recently renovated to make it bright and functional.
At the opposite end of the house is also a holiday apartment with its own entrance. Although other holiday guests can stay here, you can be in this holiday apartment and on the terrace undisturbed.
Outdoors
At the entrance is a nice wooden terrace where you can spend many good hours when the weather allows you to. It is perfect to take your meals or morning coffee outside and enjoy the peaceful garden with several older trees and bushes or watch the life passing by in Tanderup.
The house is close to the road, but there is parking in front.
The area
Tanderup is a cosy, small village centrally located on Samsø, only 4 kilometres from Sælvig and the ferry to Jutland and 2.5 kilometres from Samsø's largest town Tranebjerg. In addition, it is only about 1,5 kilometer to the water and Samsø's west coast. Here is a pebble beach but lovely sunsets and good opportunities for fishing.
Around Samsø there are many small, cosy villages that are always worth a visit. Here you can find great cafés, small speciality shops, local craftsmen and flea shops.
In Tranebjerg are grocery stores as well as various specialty shops, restaurants, and the island's tourist information. On the eastern coast is the cosy harbour town of Ballen, which in summer is bustling with boats, restaurants and intimate concerts. Ballen also has a lovely sandy beach and jetty.
If you head further north, don't miss a walk in the beautiful Nordby Hills, followed by a visit to idyllic Nordby. Here are also shops and restaurants open all year round. There is a cycle path all the way from Nordby to Tranebjerg, so it's easy to cycle around Samsø and experience the island up close.
