Description
Holiday home at Maarup Harbour on Samsø with fantastic views and a cosy maritime atmosphere
Maarup Harbour is a quiet and cosy harbour that is also beautifully situated close to the beach on northern Samsø. This lovely holiday home is ideal for those who want nature and a cosy harbour atmosphere close by.
Welcome inside
The holiday home is in the first row to Maarup harbour, so you can spend many hours enjoying the view directly to the harbour and Sælvig Bay. The holiday home is on two levels, and on the first floor there is a lovely common room where you can spend time together while cooking or when you've settled down on the sofa.
This room is bright and open, and at the same time, it's a cosy setting to gather the whole family or friends. The great view can be enjoyed through the large south-facing windows from both the dining table and the sofa lounge. In the comfortable sofa and chairs, you can gather around a boardgame or switch on the TV and relax. From the living room, there are patio doors to the covered balcony. In this way, the balcony becomes an extension of the living room and it is perfect for taking the cosiness outside, where you can sit down and enjoy the view of Maarup harbour and the sea.
The kitchen is an open extension of the dining area and living room, but it's set back from the rest of the room so you can prepare for example breakfast in peace and quiet.
On the first floor, there is also a bedroom with plenty of space for an overnight guest or if you need to retreat for a nap during the day.
On the ground floor there are two more large bedrooms, both of which are spacious and bright with a comfortable double bed. There's also plenty of space for your belongings and relaxation, and you can keep an eye on life in the harbour from up close.
Next to the bedrooms is the bathroom, which has plenty of space and, like the rest of the house, is bright and well-equipped. You can also enjoy the practical utility room, which serves as an extra entrance hall for storing outerwear, for example. Here you can also wash the local vegetables, freshly caught fish or do your laundry, so the practicalities are all in place.
This lovely house by Maarup harbour is perfect for those who want to experience a bright and inviting house with a great view that you can't get enough of. There is plenty of room for 5 guests, so you just start looking forward to a holiday in the house by Maarup Harbour.
Enjoy life outside
The outdoor areas of the house are limited, as it is located in the first row to Maarup harbour, where there is a quiet and cosy environment with yachtsmen and holidaymakers in the summer. From the balcony you can enjoy the view of the harbour, a small restaurant and the sea between Samsø and Jutland. It's even sunny much of the day, so when the weather permits, you can spend many hours here.
As there are no parking spaces at the house, you can park your car in the public car park just before entering Maarup harbour. However, the house is easy to get to, as the entrance door is behind the house on a gravel road with very little traffic.
Maarup harbour is quiet, so you can look forward to a relaxed holiday where you can enjoy the maritime atmosphere.
Get close to local experiences
Behind the holiday home, a path leads directly up to the beautiful hilly landscape, where there are fantastic views and hiking trails through nature and fields. Maarup Harbour is close to great nature experiences and just 80 metres from the house there is a lovely beach. It's a great place to swim, but it gets quickly deep.
Just 1.5 kilometres from the holiday home is Maarup, where you'll find a grocery store and you can rent a bike.
If you want to take your fishing line out, there are good fishing opportunities along the coast at Maarup.
There are beautiful places to visit all over the North Island. Don't miss out on a trip up Ballebjerg, Samsø's highest point. Issehoved is the northernmost point where the Kattegat meets at the northernmost tip of Samsø.Nordby is also always worth a visit with its charming village houses, a street pond and an iconic bell tower. In Nordby you can also have a nice lunch or an ice cream.
If you head south, you'll find several villages with local shops and cafés, so there's always something to discover. In Tranebjerg and Ballen you'll find more shopping and restaurants. Whether you're into cultural life or nature experiences, Samsø has a bit of everything.
