Very charming sum­mer­hou­se in Mårup Skov on Samsø with sea view

This lovely sum­mer­hou­se with room for a total of 5 people is the perfect setting for a lovely stay on northern Samsø. The house is just 100 metres from the beach and sur­ro­un­ded by nature in the at­tra­cti­ve area of Mårup Skov.

Interior
The sum­mer­hou­se exudes cosiness and the original style has been preserved while the house has been nicely renovated. There are wooden walls, floors and ceilings throug­hout, creating a cosy and classic cottage at­mosp­he­re.

From the entrance hall there is access to one of the bedrooms and the bathroom. The bathroom is bright and inviting and has un­der­floor heating, a good shower cabin and a washing machine.

The bedroom with entrance from the hallway has a bunk bed and storage space, making it a perfect bedroom for two children. From the hallway you enter the kitchen/family room, which is where everyone can gather in the sum­mer­hou­se. The kitchen and dining area are connected to the living room. The kitchen is bright and open with all the necessary fa­ci­li­ties to prepare your holiday meals such as a dis­hwas­her, oven, hob, and coffee machine. From the kitchen, there is a garden door with direct access to the east side and a view of the sea. It's perfect to bring your morning coffee out here and enjoy the sunrise.

The kitchen is open and connected to the dining area, making it easy to spend time together whether you're in the kitchen or already seated at the table. By the dining table is a large window over­look­ing the beach and water.

The living room is cosy with com­fortab­le furniture and large windows that bring in plenty of light and views of the green sur­ro­un­dings. In the centre of the room is a wood-burning stove, so you can turn up the heat and cosiness during the cold periods. In addition to the stove, there are electric radiators in all rooms.

The living room also has a TV with Danish tv-channels as well as a radio and games to keep you en­tertai­ned. The south-facing wall of the living room has a large floor-to-ceiling window and a garden door with access to a lovely covered wooden terrace.

From the kitchen/family room there is access to two more bedrooms. In one bedroom is a double bed and in the other room there are two single beds. The rooms also have storage space and windows, so there is room for a total of 3 adults and 2 children.

Outdoor
Mårup Skov is an at­tra­cti­ve sum­mer­hou­se area, as you are both sur­ro­un­ded by trees and close to the sea. The house is only 100 metres from a lovely sandy beach, where you can go for long walks or jump in the blue waves. Around the sum­mer­hou­se, the forest is close by, so you'll find yourself on a natural plot with heather and tall grass.
The sum­mer­hou­se has a partly covered terrace, facing south with garden furniture. Here you'll find both shelter and views of the forest and the sea.

Mårup Skov is a protected area, so barbecues are not allowed. Al­ter­na­ti­ve­ly, you can bring a dis­posab­le barbecue down to the beach.

Location
Mårup Skov is a lovely sum­mer­hou­se area where all the wooden houses have grass on the roof and thereby blend in with nature. The area is quiet and there is a sandy beach along the northern east coast, which is great for swimming.

Mårup is 1 kilometre from the sum­mer­hou­se, and here you'll find a grocery store, cafés and bike rental.
On the opposite coast is Mårup Harbour, which is a cosy little marina with a re­stau­rant and good hiking trails. Just 3 ki­lo­metres from the holiday home is the cosy village of Nordby, known for its fine street pond and iconic bell tower. Here are also several re­stau­rants and good op­portu­ni­ties for ice cream.

Samsø's north island, with its hilly landscape, is always beautiful to ex­pe­ri­en­ce re­gard­less of the season. In par­ti­cu­lar, Samsø's most northern point, named Issehoved and the highest point, Bal­leb­jerg are always worth a visit and a walk.

Along the Sælvig Bay and towards Langør, it is beautiful to cycle and explore the nature along the coast.
On the narrowest stretch, you pass the Kanhave Canal, which was the Panama Canal of the Viking Age.
It's easy to cycle between Samsø's 22 villages, and many of the small towns have shops, cafés, a street pond or a gallery. The largest town, Tra­neb­jerg, has good shopping and several re­stau­rants. The harbour town of Ballen is lively in the summer with re­stau­rants, shops and small concerts.

If you drive all the way south, you can visit the forest at Brat­ting­borg and climb Vesborg Ligh­t­hou­se, which offers views over Samsø and all the way to Funen, Jutland and Zealand.
