Central house on Samsø with annex and good space for several families in the summer
House-ID: 20103Interior
Welcome to this cozy holiday home, which exudes nostalgia and has room for many guests.
The house is a fine but older brick house in Brundby, which evokes memories of holidays with grandmother. The house sleeps several families both in the main house and in the two well-functioning annexes.
First you enter the house's functional utility room with good storage space and washing machine, tumble dryer and district heating unit. From here you enter the hallway, which gives access to the living room of the main house, two bedrooms, as well as the bathroom and kitchen.
The kitchen is separate and in retro style, but with the necessary kitchen equipment and a cosy dining table. There is a fridge/freezer, oven, dishwasher and microwave. The kitchen has a dining area for four people, with a view of the green and life in Brundby.
The house has a living room that invites you to cozy and relax in the sofa corner or in the soft armchairs. There is also space for the whole family to sit together and play a game or turn on the TV, which has Danish TV channels and a Chromecast, where you can stream your own content from your phone or tablet via the house's WiFi. The living room also has a nice dining area where everyone can sit around the table in the comfortable chairs. From here you can also access the covered terrace facing south, which is a perfect extension of the living room in summer.
The two bedrooms of the house are located at the end of the hallway. The rooms are bright and are distributed with a double bed in one room, while the other room has a bunk bed with a double bed in the lower bunk.
The bathroom with shower and fine amenities is centrally located in the house in a classic retro style.
In the small, enclosed garden, is a modern insulated annex from 2016. This contains 2 lovely double bedrooms and a bunk bed. So here is room for 4 adults and 2 children.
The old laundry house next to the annex includes 2 smaller bedrooms with a total of 4 people and a newer bathroom. The house is recommended for summer use from 1 May to 1 October. The two annexes are connected by tiles and are very close to the main house.
Outdoor
The house is located in a quiet residential area, so there is both tranquility and village life. Around the house is a fenced and enclosed garden with shrubs, lawn, and a covered tiled terrace. On the terrace there is space to sit in the shade or enjoy shelter and sunshine on a nice day. There is also a barbecue, so it is perfect to prepare a good meal and enjoy it here.
The garden has several corners where you can relax and either be private or look out onto the road. In front of the house there are two good parking spaces and a carport.
Location
Brundby is a vibrant village that gives you an authentic experience of life on Samsø. Brundby has an active citizens' association, which has, among other things, ensured that the village has a new sports field with playground and a shelter in an old mill stump. Brundby also has small shops where you can buy beautiful interiors, art and clothes. Brundby Rockhotel offers exciting concerts both indoors and outdoors. The small bar, Vinkapellet, is also very atmospheric, and here you can enjoy an intimate concert or a glass of biodynamic wine. Brundby's central location makes it easy and quick to reach Samsø's other attractions. It is only about 2 kilometres to the island’s capital, Tranebjerg, and the lively harbour town and good beach at Ballen. If you want to experience the beautiful Brattingsborg forest, it is just 4 kilometres away.
There is a wide choice of restaurants on the Southern part of Samsø. For example, visit the Strandlyst restaurant in Ballen, the Perlen in Sælvig or Flinchs Hotel in Tranebjerg. In Tranebjerg you will also find good shopping opportunities, several specialty shops and Samsø Museum, which vividly tells the history of Samsø.
Samsø has several charming harbours, which are all well visited in the summer, and are very beautifully situated.
Langør is still full of history and cosy fishermen houses, so you can enjoy both a walk in the nature and order some fresh shrimps on a summer's day.
The northernmost town, Nordby, has a beautiful and iconic bell tower that rings the sun up and down every day. But it also has several restaurants, shops and great ice cream options. Nordby and Nordby hills are always worth a visit!
