We look forward to welcoming you in this lovely holiday home in Ballen. The house is located close to the lively harbour town, but it is situated in quiet surroundings with views of fields and nature.

Welcome inside
When you step inside the holiday home, you'll immediately notice that the cosiness is turned up and there's room for you to enjoy your holiday with each other. The large west-facing windows let in plenty of light, and great opportunity to look outside. The wooden walls throughout the house create a lovely holiday home atmosphere, so look forward to your holiday here!

The living room and kitchen are the centre of the house, and the open-plan kitchen allows you to prepare dinner while still being able to talk about the adventures of the day with those sitting in the living room. The kitchen is a functional holiday home kitchen where you can look through the windows to the outdoor surroundings, and you have all the necessary kitchen facilities available. The dining table is an extension of the kitchen, and there's room for you all to eat together or play a game. Next to the dining table and living room is a garden door to a covered terrace, so it's also great to take your meals outside and enjoy the view of the fields and garden.

In the sofa corner, the wood-burning stove creates a warm and cosy atmosphere. It's perfect to sit here with a book or turn on a good film. Here you can really relax and enjoy being on holiday.

The holiday home has three inviting bedrooms that can accommodate a total of 6 people. One bedroom is accessed from the kitchen. This bedroom has a three-quarter bed and a lovely window overlooking the peaceful garden. There is also a room with two single beds, and in the last bedroom you can get a good night's sleep in a comfortable double bed.

The bathroom has a proper size and there's a washing machine, so you'll have all the practicalities in place when the whole family is in the holiday home.

Enjoy the outdoor life
The holiday home is located in Ballen, one of the most attractive and lively harbour towns on Samsø in the summer. The location of the house a few hundred meters from the center overlooks fields and nature. You can enjoy your holiday in a completely secluded and peaceful environment by this hourse. Surrounding the house is a lovely garden with a lawn, so there is plenty of space to play ball, lie on the grass or just sit on the terrace and enjoy the view. The garden has fruit trees so you can pick an apple when it's in season, but all year-round nature is close by.

A wooden terrace runs around the house, so you can enjoy your morning coffee on the east-facing terrace. On the southwest-facing terrace, which is also partially covered, you can gather outside on lovely summer evenings.

Get close to the local experiences
In the summer, Ballen comes alive at the marina with a wide range of restaurants, shops and live music. It's great to sit on a sunny terrace at one of the local restaurants and enjoy the street life in Ballen. Just 400 metres from the house is one of Samsø's best beaches with sand and clear water. There's also a jetty that's popular with both early risers taking an early morning dip and happy swimmers during the day. It's great to take a walk along the beach and enjoy the east coast of Samsø.

Just 4 kilometres north of the house is Samsø Golf Club, which is probably one of Denmark's most beautifully situated golf courses. The golf course is always worth a visit and is ideal for you who want to enjoy both golf and Samsø's nature.

Close to the golf course is the village of Besser, which is known for its cosy café and shop, Søster Sidevind. In Besser you'll also find Morgan Garagen with a nice selection of Morgan cars and a lookout tower from which you can enjoy the view of the east-facing fields.

A few kilometres from the house is Samsø's largest town, Tranebjerg. In Tranebjerg you'll find good shopping opportunities with several speciality shops, the Samsø Museum and the island's tourist information. It's always a good idea to get more inspiration for your holiday on Samsø here.

If you drive up to the north of Samsø, you'll also find breathtaking nature, and don't miss out on a walk in Nordby Bakker. There are short and long hiking trails in the beautiful ice age landscape, and you can enjoy views of Tunø, Jutland, Zealand and most of the Kattegat. When it's time for lunch, we recommend a visit to the charming and historic village of Nordby, where you'll also find several good restaurants and small shops with local produce. Have a great trip around Samsø!
