Enjoy the outdoor life
The holiday home is located in Ballen, one of the most attractive and lively harbour towns on Samsø in the summer. The location of the house a few hundred meters from the center overlooks fields and nature. You can enjoy your holiday in a completely secluded and peaceful environment by this hourse. Surrounding the house is a lovely garden with a lawn, so there is plenty of space to play ball, lie on the grass or just sit on the terrace and enjoy the view. The garden has fruit trees so you can pick an apple when it's in season, but all year-round nature is close by.
A wooden terrace runs around the house, so you can enjoy your morning coffee on the east-facing terrace. On the southwest-facing terrace, which is also partially covered, you can gather outside on lovely summer evenings.
Get close to the local experiences
In the summer, Ballen comes alive at the marina with a wide range of restaurants, shops and live music. It's great to sit on a sunny terrace at one of the local restaurants and enjoy the street life in Ballen. Just 400 metres from the house is one of Samsø's best beaches with sand and clear water. There's also a jetty that's popular with both early risers taking an early morning dip and happy swimmers during the day. It's great to take a walk along the beach and enjoy the east coast of Samsø.
Just 4 kilometres north of the house is Samsø Golf Club, which is probably one of Denmark's most beautifully situated golf courses. The golf course is always worth a visit and is ideal for you who want to enjoy both golf and Samsø's nature.
Close to the golf course is the village of Besser, which is known for its cosy café and shop, Søster Sidevind. In Besser you'll also find Morgan Garagen with a nice selection of Morgan cars and a lookout tower from which you can enjoy the view of the east-facing fields.
A few kilometres from the house is Samsø's largest town, Tranebjerg. In Tranebjerg you'll find good shopping opportunities with several speciality shops, the Samsø Museum and the island's tourist information. It's always a good idea to get more inspiration for your holiday on Samsø here.
If you drive up to the north of Samsø, you'll also find breathtaking nature, and don't miss out on a walk in Nordby Bakker. There are short and long hiking trails in the beautiful ice age landscape, and you can enjoy views of Tunø, Jutland, Zealand and most of the Kattegat. When it's time for lunch, we recommend a visit to the charming and historic village of Nordby, where you'll also find several good restaurants and small shops with local produce. Have a great trip around Samsø!
