Description
It's a great pleasure to welcome you to this very unique house that can be the setting for your whole family's holiday. At the old school in Nordby, there is plenty of room for up to 20 guests to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and be close to both Nordby and the water.
Welcome inside
The house can accommodate your entire family of up to 20 guests, who are guaranteed an unforgettable holiday in this unique setting. The old school in Nordby closed for the last pupils in 2018, but there has been a school here for more than 102 years. It's a historic house with charm that has retained fine details from the school era, but at the same time it's modern and bright, so you and your whole family will feel right at home here.
The house is large and has many spacious rooms to accommodate family members and friends of all ages. You can arrange yourselves in the house so that you can relax undisturbed, and at the same time various activities can go on at the same time. The youngest guests can play without disturbing the adults who may be planning your adventures on Samsø. The house has been beautifully remodelled to make it bright and functional, while retaining charming details from the time when the house served as a school. Both children and adults feel comfortable here in the cosy bedrooms and living areas.
There are no fewer than 9 bedrooms, where you can divide yourselves into families, as several rooms are furnished with both double beds and children's beds. The rooms are also conveniently divided, so there is typically a children's and adult bedroom in connection with each other. This offers great opportunities for you to spend time together in the best possible way and simply enjoy your holiday together.
In the centre of the house is a large and cosy living room with dining table space for everyone. Here you can enjoy your holiday meals together around the table. The living room also has a cosy sofa corner where you can relax and unwind. Again, there's plenty of room for the little ones, as there's a room next to the living room dedicated to play.
The kitchen is functional, and although it's not large, it has all the necessary facilities to prepare meals. Adjacent to the kitchen is another dining space where you can sit down when there are fewer people around the table or if you need to set the table for creative activities.
The house also has two bathrooms with original details but with full focus on functionality, and both bathrooms are bright and inviting.
The old school in Nordby is a very special holiday home that offers an experience and holiday out of the ordinary. Look forward to a holiday here, where there is room for a large family or friends in a cosy and functional setting.
Enjoy life outside
The old school in Nordby is located on Landevejen just before you reach Nordby. In front of the house is a small garden with grass and trees, so you can easily sit outside and enjoy the good weather when the sun shines on Samsø. The main house is one of several buildings that were once part of the school. The other buildings are private residences, but between them is of course a square that used to be a schoolyard. It's quiet and sheltered in here, so it also offers great opportunities for play and relaxation.
