Welcome inside
The house, originally built in 1827, has been renovated to the highest standards. Here, you get a perfect blend of modern comfort and authentic Rømø charm, featuring a thatched roof, plastered facade, and sash windows. Inside, there’s an incredibly inviting atmosphere, and you can feel that the renovation has been carried out with great respect for the original style. The heart of the house is the large living area, where the kitchen, dining room, and living room are open to each other. Exposed wooden beams and rustic floor tiles add lots of character. The kitchen offers ample workspace and a double set of ovens and cooktops. The dining area is furnished with a large table, where everyone can gather for meals. Additionally, there’s a spacious seating area and a cozy nook with armchairs around the wood-burning stove. There are a total of eight bedrooms in the house – four double rooms on the ground floor and two double rooms and two single rooms on the first floor. Finally, there are three bathrooms.

With an outdoor pool on the property, you have superb conditions for spending warm and sunny summer days in your own private oasis – for those who enjoy lounging in a deck chair with a good mystery novel, this is the perfect house. There are also several good terraces with garden furniture where you can set the table for lunch outdoors or fire up the grill as the day winds down.

Near the house, you can gaze out over the stunning coastal landscape on the southern part of the island – it’s no coincidence that the Wadden Sea has been designated as a national park and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. There are good dining options and shopping opportunities in the square and harbor area of Havneby, which is within walking distance from the house. Additionally, there’s a golf course nearby designed after the traditional Scottish links courses. On the other side of the island await the vast sandy beaches, where you can take long walks along the North Sea and enjoy a refreshing dip in the waves – for example, visit Sønderstrand, which is just a short drive from the house.
