You will be staying in a wonderful setting when you spend your holiday in this lovely cottage: you are almost neighbors with Rømø Golf Club and the bird reserve Stormengene, and it’s not far to the beautiful Sønderstrand beach and the Wadden Sea, which is even listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Welcome inside
Not only the surroundings but also the cottage itself is worth highlighting, as it is a solid brick construction which is charmingly decorated. For example, in the living room, there are vaulted ceilings, exposed beam constructions, and beautiful tiled floors, and in the center of the room stands a wood stove ready to spread warmth and a cozy atmosphere on colder days. The furnishing fits well into the inviting living space, which also includes a well-equipped kitchen area where you can enjoy cooking together. If you really want to relax, the sauna in the bathroom can help you unwind completely – perhaps followed by an afternoon nap in one of the three bedrooms after your sauna session.
Enjoy life outside
Moments of relaxation can also take place outdoors on the tiled terrace that wraps around the cottage. Wherever you settle down, you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the natural plot, which measures a total of 5.000 m². If you prefer to be outside for as long as possible, you can prepare dinner on the grill.
Get up close to the local attractions
The cottage is located on a small, secluded road that runs between the bird reserve Stormengene and the stunning 18-hole links course at Rømø Golf Club. The golf course extends all the way to the dike by the Wadden Sea, so the surroundings couldn’t be prettier. If you're more in the mood for a hike, you can follow the path at the top of the dike into Havneby, where you can reward yourselves with ice cream, cold drinks, or Rømø shrimps from the town's fish shop. Should you feel like a swim in the North Sea, you are close to Sønderstrand beach, which, with its impressive width, is also a great place for various wind sports. If you don’t plan to spend your entire holiday on Rømø, you can take the ferry from Havneby for an excursion to the neighboring island of Sylt. A drive across the Rømø causeway to the mainland is also recommended: for example can you visit Skærbækcentret, where you, as guests of this cottage, even have free access to the fun water park.
