Description
A thatched cottage full of soul and charm in lovely natural surroundings. This is the brief description of this fine holiday home, located in the southern part of Rømø near Vråby tree plantation and Sønderstrand.
Welcome inside
The wood stove, exposed beam constructions in the ceiling, and soft seating all contribute to creating a warm, cozy atmosphere in the cottage’s living room. Through the windows, you can look directly out at the beautiful natural plot while you relax on the sofa, play board games at the dining table, or start cooking in the open kitchen area. The wood stove is nice to have on cold evenings, and you can also utilize the heat pump. In addition to the cozy living area, the ground floor includes a bathroom, and if you take the steep stairs up to the first floor, you will find two bedrooms that are connected. Both bedrooms are equipped with a double bed and a single bed, accommodating a total of six overnight guests in the cottage.
Enjoy life outside
At both ends of the house, you have access to a lovely, tiled terrace. Here you can lean back in the garden furniture and enjoy the sunshine, the peace of your holiday, and the view of the beautiful trees on the natural plot. If there are children with you on holiday, they can play in the sandbox, while both young and old family members can compete in lawn games on the grass.
Get up close to the local attractions
Expansive fields, forests, beaches, and open heath landscapes. Rømø has it all, and everything is close by when you go on small and large excursions away from the cottage. Very close by is Vråby tree plantation – including the plantation’s fenced dog park, where you can let your dog run free without a leash. The beautiful Sønderstrand beach is also worth a visit: there is plenty of room to play in the sand, walk along the coast, and swim in the North Sea, and there is even the opportunity to try various forms of wind sports such as kite buggy and blokart. In Havneby, you can shop at a well-stocked supermarket, rent bicycles, play golf, and dine out, and if you feel like a boat trip, you can take the ferry to the German neighboring island of Sylt for a lovely day trip.
