Description
You’ll enjoy views of open fields and a high sky when you spend your holidays in this charming, thatched summer house located about a kilometer from Sønderstrand beach. The beautiful sight can be experienced both indoors and outdoors—whether you’re cozying up near the wood stove in the living room, soaking up the sun on the terrace, or playing garden games on the 2.200 m² nature plot.
Welcome inside
The pleasant atmosphere of the house is present both on the ground floor and the first floor, which together offer 95 cozily decorated square meters. On the ground floor, you can gather in the living area, which includes a sofa section, dining corner and an open kitchen. If it’s cold outside, you can light the wood stove and feel the cozy ambiance rise as warmth spreads throughout the room. The first-floor living room is also a great gathering spot—especially if you want to watch a movie on the flat-screen TV while lounging on the sofa. When it’s time for bed, there are three bedrooms with a total of six sleeping spaces in the summer house, and a nice bathroom is also part of the layout.
Enjoy life outside
On sunny summer days, you will likely prefer to sit outside rather than indoors. The summer house’s terrace area is the perfect spot for relaxation: The terrace faces both south and west, making it easy to find a sun-drenched spot, and if you prefer shade, there is a parasol available. The view over the open farmland is particularly impressive to the west, making it especially beautiful in the evening when the sun sets over Rømø. The youngest guests can enjoy the playhouse and the climbing frame with a slide.
Get up close to the local attractions
The summer house area of Sønderstrand is an ideal place to stay if you dream of peaceful and scenic surroundings for your holiday. You are quite close to the beautiful Vråby tree plantation, and it’s a short walk to Sønderstrand beach itself, known as one of Europe’s widest sandy beaches. Perhaps a dip in the North Sea will tempt you, and there are also opportunities for kite buggying, blokarting, and other forms of wind sports on the kilometer-wide sandy area. Rømø offers a good selection of dining options, and in addition, there are holiday activities such as a golf course, a maze park, and several riding schools. If you drive across the causeway to Skærbæk on the mainland, you, as a holiday guest in this summer house, will also have free access to the water park at Skærbækcentret.
