Thatched property with an activity room, hot tub, and beautiful natural surroundings
House-ID: 2001Are you looking for a large summer house that can provide you and your loved ones with a charming setting for your upcoming holiday? Then you should take a closer look at this charming thatched Rømø house, located on a large plot with a beautiful view over Juvre Enge.
Welcome inside
You can almost feel transported to another time when you arrive at the lovely farmhouse, which shines with its red façade and white-paned windows under the thatched roof. The property has stood here for more than two centuries and once served as Juvre Inn—but today, it is you and other holiday guests who can lodge in its atmospheric rooms. Inside, there are fine historical details to enjoy, and as you would expect from a house of that era, the ceiling height under the wooden beams in parts of the property is only 180 cm. At the same time, modern amenities enhance comfort: for instance, there is a hot tub in the bathroom, a flat-screen TV in the living room, and free Wi-Fi access. In the activity room, you can challenge the family in pool, table tennis, and darts. In the open kitchen, you can look forward to preparing food, and when you’re not relaxing in the living room, the house's small garden room is a cozy place to hang out.
Enjoy life outside
The cottage's south-facing terrace is well shielded, making it a wonderful spot to soak up the sun in a secluded and peaceful environment. With a gas grill, parasol and good garden furniture, you can look forward to enjoying delightful summer meals outdoors—perhaps interrupted by a round of Viking games or frisbee if the kids need entertainment between the main course and dessert. The lawn is spacious and level, and to the east, you can gaze far across Juvre Enge's flat marshland, which stretches all the way to Rømø's coast and the Wadden Sea. There is plenty of room to park out towards the road, even if you arrive in multiple cars.
Get up close to the local attractions
Juvre is located at the northernmost end of Rømø, and if you love open spaces, you will feel at home here in the captivating Wadden Sea landscape. From the summer house, it is a ten-minute walk to Juvre Enge and Juvre Dike, and here you will also find Rømø Fiskesø if you want to see if you can catch a trout or two. Just under a kilometer to the south, you’ll find the National Museum's Kommandørgård, where you can gain insight into life on Rømø in days gone by, see a real sperm whale skeleton, and enjoy homemade pastries in the café. The heather-covered Bolilmark, the viewpoint Høstbjerg, and Tvismark Tree plantation are also close to the house, and by car, you can reach Lakolk Beach and the North Sea in just seven minutes.
