This Wadden Sea gem is one of the coveted quality summer houses designed by Arkitema Ar­chi­tects, known as Sort Sol (black sun), and it is heated with district heating. Built in 2009, you can look forward to staying in a modern holiday home where eve­ryt­hing, from the overall layout to the small details, is just spot on. The ar­chi­tects have made a great effort to adapt the property to the scenic sur­ro­un­dings: the living room and the in­te­gra­ted kitchen are equipped with large windows, and the living area is even situated at the top of the property, allowing you to enjoy the sea view from above. In general, all rooms are ta­ste­ful­ly furnished – even the bathroom, which is on the same level as the house's three bedrooms, perfectly com­ple­ments the modern ar­chi­tec­tu­re. However, the ar­chi­tects over­loo­k­ed a small detail in the bathroom – it's not possible to install a shower curtain. Since they wouldn't want to tear the whole house down again and risk for­get­ting some other fine details on the second attempt, you, as a guest in this house, must accept that there might be a little water on the floor when you take a shower.

Enjoy life outside
The view over the Wadden Sea and Rømø’s sout­hea­stern coastline is certainly not less im­pres­si­ve when you move your holiday life outside on the terrace. The large outdoor area is located on the second floor, extending from the living room, and it is a wonderful place to enjoy the sun and the scenic sur­ro­un­dings.

Get up close to the local at­tra­ctions
The summer house is not just close to the water, but directly on the wa­ter­front in Havneby. Fishing boats still dock here, and this is also where you can take the ferry if you want to go on an excursion to the German holiday island of Sylt. Of course, you don't need to sail to get in close contact with the Wadden Sea, as you can also sign up for guided tours such as oyster safaris or a Wadden Sea expe­di­tion, where you’ll take a closer look at the seabed during low tide. The Wadden Sea is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, but it’s certainly not the only natural at­tra­ction here on Rømø. It is also recom­men­ded to head to Sønder­strand, which is one of Europe’s widest sandy beaches – making it perfect for driving blokart and try other forms of wind sports.
