Description
How would you prefer to spend your holiday days? Relaxing in a soothing hot tub, on a soft sofa near the wood stove, or on the balcony with a view of the water? All of this is possible in this beautiful and well-appointed townhouse that sits right on the Wadden Sea.
Welcome inside
With thatched roofing and a red brick facade, the architecture has clear references to older Rømø houses, but the design is simultaneously modern. Both classic and modern can describe the decor of this townhouse, as it features solid materials and stylish design throughout both the ground floor and the first floor – enhanced by delightful details such as an American fridge in the kitchen, a hot tub in one of the bathrooms, and underfloor heating in most of the ground floor. The view is, of course, a highlight, as you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Wadden Sea from both the kitchen-dining area on the ground floor and the living room on the first floor. The summer house has two bathrooms distributed over the two floors, as well as three good bedrooms, all equipped with comfortable double beds. If you need more than six sleeping spaces, you can make use of the two mattresses in the loft.
Enjoy life outside
When the summer sun beckons you outside, you have several options. On the east side of the townhouse, you can bask in the morning sun on the terrace or the covered balcony – and at the same time admire the excellent view of the Wadden Sea and the beach meadow. If you wish to sit in the sun later in the day, you can move to the west side of the summer house, where there is a terrace area. If you have small children with you on holiday, it’s nice that there is a small playground in the shared green areas.
Get up close to the local attractions
With such a location, you are naturally close to the Wadden Sea, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you would like to learn more about this distinctive tidal area, there are opportunities to take various guided tours – including an oyster tour where you hike out to collect oysters at low tide. If oysters aren’t on the menu for dinner, you can shop at Rømø's excellent butcher located just across the street. Moreover, there are several great shopping options on the island, which also offers a good selection of dining establishments. To work up an appetite, you can hike out into the beautiful nature, which features lovely plantations, stunning heathlands, and expansive sandy beaches.
