In less than ten minutes, you can drive to Lakolk if you feel like taking a swim in the North Sea or going for a walk on the wide beach. The cottage is also close to Kirkeby Plantation, where you’ll find a dog park, a forest playground, and good hiking trails that can lead you to the viewpoint Spidsbjerg. Additionally, you have easy access to the Rømø causeway when you want to head over to the mainland – for example, to Skærbæk, where the cottage's renters have free access to the water park at Skærbækcentret. The drive alone is worth it, as from the causeway, you have a stunning view of the Wadden Sea, which proudly holds a place on UNESCO’s World Heritage list.
