So even though there is much to experience on Rømø, it’s good to set aside plenty of time just to lounge in the sofa area near the wood-burning stove or gather around the dining table with delicious food and cozy conversations. If you enjoy cooking, you’ll appreciate delving into culinary projects in the bright, well-furnished kitchen—there’s ample space, so cooking can easily be a communal activity. A soak in the hot tub and a sauna session are, of course, also tempting, and when bedtime comes, you can look forward to sleeping late in the house's three good bedrooms.
Enjoy life outside
Outdoor living can also unfold peacefully on the south-facing terrace. It is large, sunny, and secluded, with an umbrella, garden furniture, loungers, and a grill available, so you can make the most of the lovely summer weather. Rømø also offers beautiful heath landscapes and plantations, and both Lakolk Strand and Sønderstrand on the west coast are definitely worth a visit if you love stunning panoramic views and open spaces. Especially Lakolk Strand is a family-friendly beach, and at Sønderstrand, you can try block carting and engage in other forms of water sports. There are also opportunities for golfing and mini-golf on Rømø, and horseback riding or guided nature tours are among the island’s great offerings.
