The house is specifically an architect-designed townhouse with a thatched roof and red-brown brick façade—and it is even an end townhouse, so there are no neighbors on one side. As you would expect from a quality building from 2007, the holiday home is beautifully decorated with a lovely bathroom, a well-equipped kitchen, and large windows that invite sunlight and views indoors. As a comfortable but subtly hidden detail, there is underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, which consists of two bedrooms, the aforementioned bathroom, and a living area with a living room and integrated kitchen. If you truly want to enjoy the view, head upstairs to the first-floor observation lounge, where you can gaze out over the beautiful links course of Rømø Golf Club and the Wadden Sea on the other side of Havneby Dike.
Enjoy life outside
The view is also impressive from the large balcony on the first floor, which is sunny thanks to its south-facing orientation. At ground level, you have two terraces to choose from: one is also oriented towards the south, while the other is on the north side of the house. There are lounge chairs and garden furniture available, as well as a grill, so you can prepare dinner outside under the open sky in the fresh air.
Get up close to the local attractions
If you don’t want to spend the entire holiday on the observation balcony, you can venture out into the beautiful nature. For example, you can walk along Havneby Dike to take a closer look at the Wadden Sea, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. If you want to swim in the North Sea, it is recommended to head to Sønderstrand—and if you prefer an indoor swim, you have free access to the fun water park at Skærbækcentret. If you get hungry, you can stay at Enjoy Resorts Rømø, which has a good restaurant, or you can take a short stroll into the town center of Havneby. There are several dining options to choose from, and there is also a good supermarket if you want to cook for yourself. Alternatively, you can source ingredients from nature— for example, you can join an oyster safari and collect fresh oysters directly from the Wadden Sea.
