Description
Both indoors and outdoors, there are plenty of cozy seating areas in this beautiful cottage in the Sønderstrand area. Inside, you can enjoy the warmth near the built-in fireplace in the living room, and outside, there are several lovely terraces to choose from, on the large natural plot.
Welcome inside
The cottage has been placed here since 1974 and presents itself in an inviting way after a modernization in 2018. The good natural light contributes to the pleasant atmosphere – especially in the living room, where a gable window goes from floor to ceiling. Thanks to the open architecture you can look over your own natural plot and the expansive landscape beyond. The living room features vaulted ceilings and light wooden paneling on the walls in classic cottage style, and the fireplace insert is definitely a cozy element. If it's cold outside, you can also use the heat pump – and on warm summer days, it also can cool the room. A well-equipped kitchen is integrated with the living room, and additionally, the layout includes a beautiful bathroom, three good bedrooms, and an annex with a washing machine and freezer.
Enjoy life outside
Adjacent to the living room is a covered terrace, which is a wonderful place to enjoy the sunshine and the beautiful natural surroundings. Outdoor living can also be enjoyed in a big way on the west-facing terrace behind the cottage or on the covered terrace located in the sheltered area between the cottage and the extension.
Get up close to the local attractions
The cottage is located at the southern end of the Sønderstrand area, quite close to the Stormengene bird reserve and the Wadden Sea, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Near the cottage, you can follow the lovely hiking trail that runs along the dike all the way to the water and into Havneby. The walk can also conveniently lead to Sønderstrand beach, which is a one-kilometer-wide sandy beach with plenty of space to play, swim in the North Sea, and engage in various wind sports such as kite buggy and blokart. If you enjoy golf, it’s worth taking a round on the nearby 18-hole links course at Rømø Golf Club – and if you prefer mini-golf, that option is also available on Rømø.
