Description
The peaceful location is definitely one of the advantages of this thatched summer house in Kongsmark – but it is certainly not the only quality, as the house itself is extremely charming and full of atmosphere, and the lovely garden is definitely worth mentioning as well.
Welcome inside
The summer house has a particularly long history, as it is an authentic Rømø house dating all the way back to 1777. Although much has happened in the meantime, there are still many lovely historical details, including the beautifully decorated doors that adorn the living room. The ceiling height, which is about 1.75 meters in most rooms, also indicates that it is an older building – and as long as you are prepared for this, it actually just contributes to a particularly cozy atmosphere. In the living room, there is a wood-burning stove and a flat-screen TV with satellite, while the adjacent kitchen is spacious and features a dining nook. A guest toilet and a bathroom with a washing machine are also part of the layout, and finally, three nice bedrooms are well distributed throughout the summer house.
In both the living area and all bedrooms, there are insect screens installed on the windows.
Enjoy life outside
The 2603 m² plot is at least as lovely as the house itself, as the garden is not only large but also beautifully landscaped with screening trees and bushes that are pleasant to look at. The lawn offers plenty of space for playing and garden games, and the two terraces invite pure relaxation and delicious meals in the lovely sunshine. In addition to the grill, the house also includes a mobile pavilion for outdoor dining during inclement weather.
Get up close to the local attractions
Strømmen is a small, closed road, and the summer house is situated at the very end, ensuring peace and quiet at your holiday address. At the same time, you will find it easy to get around Rømø, as Kongsmark is located in the center of the Wadden Sea island, giving you easy access to the main road that connects Havneby with the Rømø Dam. Within a short walking distance from the summer house is the island's good butcher, and on foot, you can quickly make your way to the east coast, where you can gaze out over the Wadden Sea, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. By car or bike, you can easily travel across Rømø to the lovely Lakolk Beach if you feel like a dip in the North Sea.
